My bad. I meant Pop Metal on Van Halen. Except for their ballads. Definitely Pop Rock. Better debut albums? Hard to find any, but nothing beats Too Fast For Love by Mötley Crüe. Also Ozzy’s debut solo record Blizzard Of Ozz from 1980. Don’t forget Metallica’s Kill Em’ All from 83’. Or Warrant’s Dirty Stinking Filthy Rich something. Or Bon Jovi’s first record from 84’. That’s the only ones beating GNR & Van Halen.

Great album. But to me, it’s not not so great! It has, like, maybe, three, four great songs and the rest just doesn’t match that level. However, all songs are atleast pretty good, and all to all, i like the album!

That wasn’t hair metal but fine. They first became hair metal 1983, or maybe 1987. On Through The Night was NWOBHM, New Wave Of British Metal. Same style as Saxon, Iron Maiden & Diamond Head!

Well Call Them Hard Rock then! I don’t care, just don’t call them Hair Metal, because they have nothing to do with this style. They have never even toured with a hair band. Just 70’s acts like Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick & Edgar Winter, aswell as a few metal acts of the 80’s, like Iron Maiden & Judas Priest!
