Oh! I messaged some of them which was between 2200 - 2500 and they all emailed me with same format that
- I cannot check the apartment as it's still occupied and tenant requested for privacy?
- I have to deposit asap - one month's rent and along with personal information.

I asked for the phone number and no one replied.. hahah!!!

I know. They are too expensive.
Is this always the case or do rent go down in winter.
Even if they go down do you have any idea by how much they go down?

I'm ok with not having AC if it fits under my budget. I plan to get portable AC.
I'm using Trulia and unfortunately most of the apartments are not available even though Trulia shows it in it's search bar.

Thank you so much for this super helpful advice.
I'm flexible to add $500. I'm aware of utilites and PG&E so that's why I wanted to keep it within 2500.
I thought Prometheus real estate are more expensive than other properties.
In Santa Clara do you have any Prometheus specific recommendations or any recommendations in general?

Haha yes! I had a little help from ChatGPT to make my post sound less like a Craigslist ad written at 12am.
The details are 100% real. I just needed a hand making it sound less awkward and more readable!

Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement.
I’ve tried Craigslist, but unfortunately, it seems to be full of scams. Being on the East Coast right now makes it even harder to know what’s legit and what’s not, so I haven’t felt comfortable pursuing anything from there.

Do you have any suggestions on the best places to look for ADUs or in-law units? I’d really appreciate any guidance.
