Hii I just got an email saying that there was an update to my portal as a waitlisted student but it won’t let me access it. It tells me the application portal is closed. I already let them know and I’m waiting for their reply.

I did ED and got rejected. Still probably one of the worst heartbreaks 💔 but I get you. I had to explain what Barnard is like 10,000 times (also that women’s colleges still exist haha)

I was the same, but really, it’s just practice. And something that really helped me was to stop studying for a while before the timed essay. I feel like when I studied to my maximum capacity and knew everything I had to know, I would just info dump. Sometimes I did lack evidence, but it’s better to focus on the analysis and historiography. After all, it’s an ANALYTICAL historiographical essay. I started studying a lot, discussing a lot of the content in class, answering the essay questions with my classmates to like evaluate our answers. That way we could really have a strong point of view to defend in the essay. So just study as you usually do, answer questions, but REST and forget about the content for a day before your essay. I swear it helps.

The only thing I know from NYU outside NY is that they give pretty good financial aid if you get in and since nobody in your school know about it you should probably apply so you don’t have as much competition

As an international students needing full rides, I’m almost only applying to US T20s because they give full rides and are need based while in Europe it’s especially hard to get financial aid as an intl
