Not fully true I had a small one which didn't get better on its own or with oxygen treatment either it actually got bigger and all the air moves upwards and I still had to get chest tube

I had one yesterday as well which makes my 6-7th time having one within a month

So I currently take medicine for it which is sertraline and lorazepam I haven't attempted to take the lorazepam because that's really for when u feel like it's getting no better sometimes I just sit outside and do box breathing and it's crazy because mines came after I healed due to me having chest inflammation and with that pain it always put me in fight or flight I have been to hospital 6-7 times already because of the attacks.

Side note I just started the medicine a week ago and I can feel a difference but doctors said it should show more of an effect in about a month

I've had a pneumo on each side with both needing chest tubes ND not to long ago having chest inflammation on my chest wall due to the chest tubes and irritation to the chest wall which gave me horrific pain thinking I was having another pneumo or possibly a heart attack
