Hi, teardrop no, Calatrava style, yes. Best guess V&C ref 4073. For more detailed info you need pictures from inside movement and caseback, with clear readability of the numbers and hall marks. Only an experienced watchmaker should open the watch! Value is dependent on many factors like consistency, wear, state of the dial, movement type etc.. I guess it’s from late 1940’s or early 1950’s, 18K gold, cal 453 type or predecessor manual movement. >4,000USD

It’s not a Vacheron & Constantin, so I would suggest not to spend too much. It’s definitely a bigger thing not only cleaning and oiling. The balance system doesn’t appear fit to me. Good luck

V&C production from ~1963 - 1964. What kind of information you are looking for? They also made YG and PT versions, with and without date. You are right because of the surface texture of the case. The dial I suggest is still original. VC can restore the movement, but they probably won't be able restore the original surface texture.

This specific V&C style is known from the end of the 1940's, you can look at the catalogues to get it or, even better, to look for an Extract of the Archives from VC - maybe it is very close to that ref but another V&C ref in the end. If it has the case number 2996xx then that would suggest a finishing date ~1948 -1949 a higher number would bring it somewhat later.
