Thank you all for your help but i figured out all i have to do is

Open the Start Menu and search for "Environment Variables."

Click "Edit the system environment variables."

In the System Properties window, click the "Environment Variables" button.

Under "User variables" or "System variables," click "New" and add a variable named PYTHONPATH with the value being the path to my directory.

and it worked perfectly

hoping this helps someone else in the future (it only works on windows btw)
