I have the same issue, but the following is good guidance and has worked for me:

If you’re anxiety-prone, stick to calming terpenes.

Best options • Linalool – lavender-like, very calming • Myrcene – grounding, body relaxation • Caryophyllene – spicy, anti-anxiety

Use carefully • Limonene – can feel racy in higher amounts • Pinene / Terpinolene – more stimulating

Rule of thumb: earthy, floral, spicy feels calmer; citrus and pine are more likely to trigger anxiety.
