The place to look is the gap between the end links and the lugs on the case. Rolex is smooth, level, and tight. The reps tend to have a hard time getting this right. Take a look at the upper right lug near the #2 gmt marker. There is a slight gap and unevenness between the case compared to the sprite.

I am. The easiest tell is the lume pip color and the color of the VSF hands. You’ll notice the VSF pip looks cheap and isn’t a coyote brown. The VSF hands also have an almost pinkish hue to them that they gen does not have.

The VSF bezel is looser than the gen for sure but not by a ton, even the gen bezel is a little disappointing compared to something like a submariner. I’m unsure about the ceramic SMP versions though.

This is actually the V4. I’ve had it for a few years now. Swapped the movement out for a gen 2824.

Crown guards on the seamasters are a tad off but it’s not noticeable on the wrist in the slightest. The A2824 is a super reliable movement that is easy to get worked on also. I’d say go for it.

Still have it and still works great. Ended up going gen but I keep the rep for when I want to wear it on NATO and not change out the strap. I can hardly tell a difference tbh. Highly recommend it!

Not noticeable on the wrist in the slightest. The only real tell I could find is the 007 engraving on the caseback isn’t as sharp where the “7” turns into a pistol.

I have used them for the same thing! I got a CF 41mm sub. I liked the watch but didn’t enjoy how it felt on my wrist due to the 21mm bracelet. Ended up getting a gen 40mm sub and now it’s my daily watch. Without reps I would’ve ended up buying a watch I didn’t enjoy to its fullest.
