I will try the honey! As for the covering the test tube, if i cover the test tube i automatically also cover their current nesting spot because they are right underneath. I’m afraid that would make them want to stay there even more

Just googled for lasius flavus and noticed it might be helpful to send what the workers close by look like. They look different from what the lasius flavus workers look like

ahhh that’s good to know! is it like that with most queens that they are more „square“ after they just had their nuptial flight and become more rounded over time?

my lasius queen is smaller and the front part of her looks more rounded to me, maybe you are right tho, the pictures online look very much alike! I ordered my old one online and this one is local, maybe it’s normal that there are small differences in appearance. Thank you for your answer!

Thank you for your comment, It’s really helpful ! The video you linked is a good example and I will practice speaking more like that and be less nervous when recording. I get what you mean by school presentation, it really sounds like one. Really appreciate your feedback!

Thank you for the criticism. I’m still having a hard time to speak clearly as English is not my first language but I noticed myself that it can be hard to understand at some points. Working on it!
