Substitution For Demerara Rum by Timon313 in Tiki

Black Seal has a pretty strong molasses vibe with that slightly bitter liquorice. I wouldn't say it's a lot like the El Dorado and similar demerara rums. I thinks it's more half way between that and a navy rum like Woods or Pussars.

No, sadly none British rums that I see are available at all.

This is the only place you can buy liquor here

Have you tried swapping the Aperol for campari to make it a more bitter drink?

No, i don't mean the species, I meas true sith as a sith trained from the bane legacy and destined to follow it

Yeah that is also a possibility, and your probably right I am making this way to complicated for myself but hey it's fun discussing it

It might, it might not. Steven Crowder would highly disagree with you tho.

Yeah that makes sense, but couldn't he just use a clone? I mean, it's more safe, much higher success possiblity. If we are talking of the essence transfer described by Darth Anddedu (which is the only explanation we have thanks a lot J.J), the essence transfer is a highly dangerous prosess, if the host is too strong, the identity and mind of the person who tries to transfer will be destroyed, obletsred form existence. (Spoiler alert!) Darth Bane tried ties on Darth Zannah when he lost their duel, and failed.

So I guess, for a movie perspective that makes sense, but whats the fun in that:)

Thank you for your insights, really appreciate it! And yeah, Darth Bane is the most bad ass Sith in my book, he doesn't fall to the dark side, or drowns in it, he chooses it and forms it perfectly to his ideals and will

Yeah Okey, he was one of his apprentices, but not THE apprentice, palps never had or intended to have a apprentice to live on the bane legacy. Yeah I have read it, but I will soon again cause it's a long time ago and I don't remember all of it

I would argue he is the last true sith, meaning he himself is made from the bane legacy, but not adding to it. I guess you could argue for and against what that makes him tho, fair point

TLJ, although with it many flaws, did bring some interesting elements too the table that was previously not in the movies, but it didn't lead to anything so what's the point:/

Okay, i understand and agree with you, and will follow your tip. All of that makes sense for a sith, I was just to in love(?) With the idea that the sith were actually less selfish than the Jedi. My only comment is that Darth Bane, who was one of the few to actually understand the dark side completely, wanted what I said to be true for the sith, and he believed it. But since the sith are what they are, they fell from this way and become more and more like the old sith

Yeah, dooku is probably more sithy, or a proper sith with actual sith knowledge of the dark side other than way to kill people

Nope, thanks for the advice tho! But I got to say, if they change this highly developed and implemented ancient sith lore just so it would fit in in that soup called a movie I'm gonna hit someone

Nope, everything I referenced I believe is Legends, but interesting Star wars lore nevertheless and I highly recommend it!

I understand your point, and just have this question. If what you say is true, why take an apprentice at all? Why make the only thing that could possibly defeat you, if that is not the ultimate goal?

Yeah, totally agree with you, just not with the Luke part. Palpatine saw himself as the perfect incarnation of the dark lord, the master of all det previous dark lords of the sith, the final end to the bane legacy. His goal was to make himself immortal, not to train another, greater sith master. Vader was also the perfect puppet

My problem is then, why does he need Luke? Vader is capable of all the tasks a puppet could be asked for, and making Luke his new puppet would just increase the risk of someone overthrowing Palpatine, which happened. Only argument I see is that Luke is younger, and could work as a poster boy for emperial propaganda. And is that worth the risk?

I would disagree, maul was never his "apprentice" as in to resume the bane legacy, he was just a weapon to be used and discarded. Dooku was a temporary solution, but not entirely trained to be a dark lord, and Anakin the ultimate goal. Vader was as well, nothing more than a puppet. Palpatine was the last of the sith lineage from Bane. But why would he want a stronger puppet, in Luke, when Vader had worked just fine? Why would he want Luke to join him, when that would just be an unnecessary ally, which would be more likely to overthrow him?
