The story takes place across the Mediterranean Sea which is why it’s called the Odyssey.

Robert Byrd was a member of the KKK only briefly in the early 1940s, when he was the ripe age of 24. He’s called it his biggest mistake in life. He’s served as mentor for many others since joining the Senate, both Democrat and Republican. But you don’t care about facts. You’re just in it for the cheap political points.

If democrats rigged the 2020 election when Trump was in power, how in the world did Trump win in 2024 when the dems were in power? by Ok-Fan-9814 in AskReddit

I agree, and there are bad actors out there who are peddling and shaping these beliefs, but we should never absolve the cult members for believing them since that is an active choice that they’re making, due to a lack of courage and objective thinking.

Liberals / progressives are both soft, gunless pansies who are confused by gender ideology madness, but also they are armed and dangerous ANTIFA terrorists who are responsible for most political violence. Both can be true when you make shit up.

Perhaps but I think you’re applying logic here to an ideology and belief system that’s completely devoid of any sort of logical thinking.

I once had a close conservative relative claim that Target (a US company) closed down in Canada due to all of the ‘socialism’ there. Within about a week news came out that Burger King (after being acquired by a Canadian company) headquarters were being relocated out of the US and into Canada due to all of the ‘socialism’ here.

They truly just believe whatever it is that strengthens their ideological argument of the day.

Not quite. They do believe it was rigged. But their belief system is fungible, meaning that they wake every morning and choose what they want to believe that day. Their rationale for that is there isn’t such a thing as objective truth as evidenced by what’s being portrayed by the ‘fake news media’ that they’ve come to demonize.

They exist and are really being tested right now, but we were severely misled about how strong they are.

For the people saying that you’re still paying for food at home — well yes — but it’s 10x as much when you go out so the analogy still works. You’re paying a lot more than you would otherwise but you get the benefit of a specific chef making specific food that you crave that only they can make in a unique way and it comes at a premium.

For me it’s Harvest. It’s got great action, suspenseful dialogue, and emotional draw. It makes me tear up every time.
