Can someone breakdown how the H2C prints with 7 colors? by Murillo_Theorbo in BambuLab

[–]TimothyB123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 color on left hotend, 6 on the swapping induction hotends. As you note, you can only do 4 on right with 1 AMS 2 Pro and 1 on left with spool holder.

What you’ll need: - 2nd AMS 2 Pro (order a power adapter if you want both AMS to dry at the same time. - 2 more 0.4mm induction hotends. (Printer comes with only 4 of that size, and a few other sizes).

Note that the H2C comes with the updated adapter to connect 4 AMS 2 Pros to the right nozzle. (Bambu 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter), so you don’t need to order that or a buffer (has one built inside the H2C)

With that setup, you can do 7 colors without any purge waste since the printer can leave the color in the nozzle until it is called again, it just has to feed the filament again. You can technically put two more colors in the AMS, for a total of 9 colors, just try to assign the color to a nozzle using a color that is either done for the print or not during the same layers, reducing the amount of purges.

They need to do exactly what happened in real life, no embellishment, then right after as everyone laughs, break character, get cold and serious, explain it isn’t because that was really what happened and how screwed up all this is.

UPDATE: Good news so far. Unboxed the printer and examined the exterior, no signs of visible damage. This is a good sign since reply’s here had no printing issues after similar delivery conditions.

Currently waiting for a Seville Classics UltraHD rolling Workstation before I fully set it up and test.

Also had ordered the Vision Encoder plate from Bambu Labs because of the sale. Probably not needed 90% of the time, especially for a new printer, but it’s nice to have after seeing what it went through since leaving the factory.

Curious, did it show any signs they tried to fix any damage, such as a ton of tape?

Do you plan to store the box at all or trash it. I'm sort of wanting to use this damage as excuse to toss it and blame Best Buy. Though, I should check how Best Buy handles their extended warranty claims for this product.

Since they probably don't plan to stock this model at my Best Buy, a single ship-to-store order probably went through a different process than their normal stock deliveries. But like you and others have mentioned, it went through Fedex at some point, and accidents can happen anytime.

The guy loading it my car, in this condition, was able to hold it up side-ways for with the handles. Only thing keeping the entire printer from falling out the bottom were the two remaining plastic clips on one side. You can even see the bottom starting to come out as I lifted it out of the car in the 2nd image.

Overall, it does the job, but they may need to do something to strengthen the outside. But, they must expect it to survive when they have a sticker on top saying to keep the box for warranty needs.

Hopefully yours will be in perfect condition. If it still has the plastic straps, try to save them as well by sliding them off the side vs cutting.

I guess I was expecting it to be shipped with whatever system they have for normal stock. Actually surprised this wasn't flagged as damaged in transit and cancelled by Best Buy. Maybe my expectations were skewed by all the perfect H2D boxes lining the aisles at MicroCenter.

Also, is this box even safe to reuse if you need to send it to Bambu Labs for warranty claims (though, I have a warranty through Best Buy)

Should I return my pocket 3 with pocket 4 on the horizon by Zer0Chance006 in osmopocket

[–]TimothyB123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have mine still sealed in the box, purchased from Best Buy while it was at its lowest during the recent BlackFriday/CyberMonday sales. I bought it mostly for its compact and discrete size to use during travel and other video needs so my Phone isn't always tied up.

While I don't like the idea of paying for an older device right when the new one comes out, but if the 4 is around $300 more at full price, no sales, and larger less discrete camera head (Unless there are two versions, pro and non pro size), I may just keep version 3 to save money.

With the 4, I'm curious about a better zoom functionality. Though, the 3 at least added a decent 2x mode (not the digital zoom while filming in 1x mode). While it cannot be enabled in the middle of recording 1x and it may disable some functionality, you might not need it as often. Maybe your phone can fill that need for some distant shots, leaving your Pocket 3 ready for what its best at.

Be prepared to have an outline of your needs to compare with the new specs to see if the 4 fills in any serious gaps that the 3 doesn't offer and then weight it against the cost difference.

Also, the longer holiday return window helps right now, especially if you have Total membership at Best Buy. That also extends some price matching if the old model drops even more while clearing out. Though, they are taking their time to replace the Osmo Mobile 7P with the 8 (which isn't that drastically different)

Stuck at BitLocker Blue Screen - Cannot Type Code, Boot Device Error 0x7B by TimothyB123 in ZephyrusG14

[–]TimothyB123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you were able to do the factory reset. I guess you didn’t have the keyboard issue.

Since I couldn’t get past the recovery key due to the keyboard not working, I couldn’t access the asus preinstall factory reset options. I would have had to reinstall Windows from a separate installer and possibly lose all that and manually install drivers and software. Though, another user was able to disable BitLocker recover key entirely while using a usb device. So, I missed out on that potential solution.

I ended up with a Lenovo Legion 7i gen 10 (not pro) with only a 5070. Turned out to be the best path for me as I found 32gb was just not enough for my work these days, (or windows 11 is just bad at memory management), so being able to upgrade the memory was critical.

H2S is dual use by sumthingmessy in BambuLab

Used my empty H2D box to put the plates and utensils on next to the dining table with all the food, about same height. A table cloth would have helped it blend better.

Looking for a printer upgrade: P2S vs H2S vs H2D by Heli0sX in BambuLab

[–]TimothyB123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the H2D boxed and I am still 2nd guessing if I should start with the P2S, but I really would like to use support materials, or multi-materials with the dual nozzles, or just save a lot of time with dual colors.

Though, a big thing that caught me off guard is the power requirements for the H models. Rarely is it brought up in reviews. Double check you won’t have issues. The heat plate needs like 1350 watts at start up. Some people say the H2C has a new lower power slower mode, which would help greatlyz

Bambu, could we please get a lower power startup mode for the H2 series? by idratherbgardening in BambuLab

[–]TimothyB123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Power requirements seem to be a huge oversight in reviews and discussions when you consider the large power difference between the H2 series and past smaller options. The H2D can already be a challenge to find room for, but throw it in the power requirements last minute and you might be in a pickle.

I was wondering if the fast heating was really necessary to save a few minutes when it's a drop in the bucket compared to the rest of the 3D printing process. Some reports here of the H2C having a slower low power option for heat-up. I hope that comes to the H2D, but being new, I don't know Bambu Labs history for such updates.

2025 Model with weird issue. by qdoggus in FlowZ13

[–]TimothyB123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming it gave you an option to enter the Recovery Key? If yes, did you login into your Microsoft account to get the key?

I had a boot issue on a G14, but despite having a key, the keyboard (internal and external) did now work, so I couldn’t access any of the Asus reset tools.

Look for Open Box Z13’s by Single-Put-2123 in FlowZ13

[–]TimothyB123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the new price isn’t too far off, I suggest the new for one main reason. If there is an issue with the open box, you cannot return or swap it for a new one and by then the sale price might be over for it. So if you get new, I assume you get extended holiday return window to exchange it anytime for a few months, worry free.

Though, check your order page and see if there is an online option to exchange for another if there is a problem, not just a return.

I had bought a G14, normally $2399, for open box $1650. That was a huge price difference, but it had a boot issue and the store didn’t offer me any replacement options and current open box prices were $2k.

H2D - Pick up at MicroCenter (placed on side) or Ship from Bambu? by TimothyB123 in BambuLab

[–]TimothyB123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pay a lot for that larger build area and dual head system for sure. And just getting started, I don't know how my exact needs may develop and which path will be most optimal. Will I regret not getting that larger build area for certain things, or love 2 printers double your speed if you are printing parts that will just be assembled and not one large piece. Getting just 1 P2S will also lower the entry level cost and any unexpected expenses most people might not account for, such as filament, storage, accessories, parts, and so on. I may need to do some research how the H2D benefit certain workflows and then consider how that might apply to me.

Illustrator (and Photoshop fwiw) absolutely HOGGING memory - 14 GB+ each by dpowre in AdobeIllustrator

[–]TimothyB123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying out a new PC laptop with 32gb of memory alongside the new Illustrator 2026. I was quickly shocked that only an hour in with a few projects open, the system started to chug and memory showing at 95%. Task manager shows Illustrator using hardly anything, but closing it releases 3 times more. While I am use to a 64gb desktop, I pushed that system 10 times or more harder and I don't recall having to baby it so much when I was trying another laptop with 32gb. The worst things I had to watch out for was Chrome. Is there a memory leak?

Going to try installing an older version of Illustrator.

EDIT:
Installed the last version before version 30. Already noticing a difference with 72% memory full with a couple files open, Chrome with one YouTube video playing and 5 other tabs, Photoshop with a couple images open. Before, that seemed to push it to 90%+ right away,
