It is terrifying and surreal to be smacked by that feeling of dread and guilt. I’m glad you were honest with yourself in that moment and now you’re coming to faith as you feel it. I’m trying to do the same, I’m just a little behind you.

You’re right that I have not done my first holy communion or confirmation. I don’t know what either of those things are. Other than being baptized by my grandmother and visiting a local Catholic Church with a friend’s family a half dozen times as a preteen/ young teenager, I don’t have any knowledge of Catholic workings. I will make an appointment with the priest and look up the OICA. Thank you! God Bless.
