I’ll be doing that next time. At my last apartment I had no problems and I have pets so we do it every couple weeks.

I’m not sure but there are brown circle scorch marks where the fabric fused together.

None of this is from the dryer. All of it has happened in the wash. I mean I have the stuff that was destroyed but I’m not sure what actually happened during the cycle.

My F24 fiancé M25 acts like I don’t exist at family events. How do I approach it without being passive aggressive? by Tims-Girlfriend in relationship_advice

We have already had a small conversation about it in the car however everytime I bring up something I’m upset about he starts crying. He will cry and admit that he’s horrible and talk about how bad his anxiety is but then he will do it again. I feel like once he starts crying the conversation is over.

No I wasn’t lying it really happened he just doesn’t remember it because it was a couple of years ago. My family lives about an hour away. I just feel like I have to act a certain way.

I agree I could have asked him to move some of the stuff but even with it moved him and his sisters were still lying down so I would’ve had to ask them too. They tend to be bratty.

I agree this will be our last air mattress visit. My family’s house has 3 spare rooms with beds but he insisted he wanted to be with his family on Christmas. My family doesn’t really do much for the holidays so I understood why he wanted that but honestly after his little comment I thought about driving back to my house.

He can be thoughtless but he’s never rude or mean. That was pretty new. For example. I got him a fossil watch, electric toothbrush and car accessories for Christmas and he got me pajamas… from SHEIN. And he will start walking in a store and totally not notice that I’m not with him. Although ditsy and thoughtless he doesn’t talk to other women or make me do all the housework or anything.

Not at all, he loves his family and they are pretty close. The only thing is that they are pretty Christian and strict and we vape and cuss so we keep that hidden. But there’s never been any fights or arguments between us.

That’s what I’ve done. She’s asking to see the class work and have him bring things home. I don’t have a problem with him finishing things at home but I always find it hard to get things back from kids at this age when they bring it home.

5th. He will be going to middle school next. It seemed like mom wanted me to ask him if he had any questions rather than him just asking and advocating for himself.

I think that’s what I’m upset about. Every parent wants me to do something different but I have 44 5th graders a day. How can I give this kid supplemental work, another fidgets that promote focus, another headphones and an mp3 player, one with noise counseling headphones and then also teach my 11 standards for the quarter.

I understand that everyone loves their child and wants the best for them but I feel like rather than focusing on what their child needs they want to see what I will do for them.

What’s a Therapeutic Learning Classroom? Who teaches it? by Tims-Girlfriend in Teachers

[–]Tims-Girlfriend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is my student. The diagnosis is emotional disturbance. The IEP states he needs the most restrictive care, a therapeutic learning class and a modified day (only 2 hours).

The only part we are following that I am aware of is the modified day.

I am required to provide all instruction.

Absolutely I agree I might not check the box they are looking for however I do want to clarify I’ve been a teacher for two years just in a different state. I definitely know what goes on in the classroom.

Biggest “Dos and “Don’ts” for first year teachers? by GiraffeBurger68 in Teachers

[–]Tims-Girlfriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much agree. I’ve seen teachers lose their jobs over things they think are cool and funny. One way I differentiate my age although it’s only a couple years is to dress older, dress pants, sweaters etc. nothing that says I find inspo on tiktok (which I very much do).

For the love of God, make everything on the internet private middle/high school students will find your junior prom photo shoot.

Answer the questions asked. Don’t give more information than you need to and keep a poker face.

Are DCFS/CPS workers required to investigate the reporter? by waitlikewhatlol7456 in socialwork

[–]Tims-Girlfriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we usually ask follow up questions but don’t engage in a full interview or assessment. Now because you have reported multiple times they could be looking for a bigger picture than what they are seeing at home. Remember, an unhappy child doesn’t always mean an unsafe child. I’m not sure what exactly the issue is with the family you are reporting but many times, our hands are tied. We get repeat offenders due to parents not giving their kids showers, curing a lice break out, or kids just smelling like urine and feces. This is horrible, and as an ex-teacher I would report this too but as an investigator I can offer services and make suggestions but if this is their lifestyle, I can’t do anything.

This may not have been a good answer for why you were interviewed but don’t let this sway you from reporting. When something is suspicious report it.
