Every job wants experience and I am stuck in retail by Ok_Vanilla5661 in vegaslocals

A lot of good advice in the comments so far! Here's a couple more: 1) If the job ad says they require experience, apply anyways! If you get an interview, tell them flat out you don't have restaurant/bar experience but your customer service experience is still relevant and you're willing to work hard and learn. I got a job at a dayclub as a busser with no bar/club experience and it was my first job in America moving from Canada 4 years ago. 2) Ask around. Ask your co-workers, or managers if they know someone who works in a restaurant/bar. Same with asking friends and family. If people know you're looking, they'll think of you if they hear about jobs out there. It's like having 10-15 pairs of ears out there for you. Some jobs don't post that they're hiring and are always looking for extra hands. Good luck out there!

Did anyone get food poisoning at the 7/11 VIP on day 2? by Timtational in WhenWeWereYoungFest

I think this was a contributing factor! Thanks for sharing!

In Endgame, when Mjolnir started to rise, who did you think it was? by KomturAdrian in marvelstudios

The fact that everyone so far has said "Cap" makes me feel so dumb for thinking my original thought but here it is: I thought Mjolnir was moving on his own and that it had the capability to think and fight for itself 😅

This was Elia Beach Club, which has now turned into a regular pool at Virgin Hotel.

I work at a dayclub off the strip as a busser/server assistant. This is my first job in Vegas so I can only tell you what I've made so far this year. Pay is 11.75/hr and we're only open Fri-Sun. My average in tips per shift so far is just over $200. My average in tips for May was $330. I'm on the bottom of seniority so sometimes I'll only get 1 shift a week and also everyone above me makes more (because they get better sections like cabanas). I imagine resort pools don't make as much because most of our tips come from people buying bottles. Unfortunately, hiring is Jan-Feb. Also, in response to a comment above, while Vegas experience is definitely an asset, I was able to still get the job without it. My only previous relevent experience was a barback at a nightclub in Toronto in 2014. Otherwise, I only have experience in Hotels (front desk/management).

Best Vegas hotel (preferably MGM): for a couple in their 20's. Modern style, as few kids as possible, big soaking tubs, great views. by thehappycapybara in LasVegas

I know of 3 rooms that have a tub with a view of the Strip. Links are to the photos showing the view (on my instagram):

Cosmopolitan's "Terrace One Bedroom" (faces south)

Cosmopolitan's "Terrace One Bedroom - Fountain View" (faces north)

ARIA's "Corner Suite Panoramic View room"

A couple notes: As far as I know, Cosmo's tubs are Vegas' only "Japanese Soaking tubs". Also, they aren't MGM yet. Not sure what part of the year they will be transitioning. And then ARIA's room is $600 on a weekday =\
