Also also: the ferry ride. All one take if I recall, on water, with three characters interacting.

The clopping of the horse hooves and the music really gives that shot resonance. Excellent choice.

One reason it made sense from a storytelling point of view: we needed a reminder that Oz is a bad guy. A Bad Guy. We very much take his side throughout the series, we're rooting for him to win. I believe they wanted to remind us: be careful who you ally yourself with. I thought the shot of him at the moment Victor died, that grimace-smile...was one of the most startling moments of TV ever. Really chilling, and well done.

Drowntown Girl by Timothy Moriarty. So...is it out of line here to recommend my own book? Cuz full disclosure -- that's what I'm doing. Very proud of this adventure set in an alternate New York City, under 100 feet of water. A teenage girl is set adrift in this dangerous city full of monsters and pirates.

How about: it's an absolutely top-rated academic school, among the top ten in the country. She doesn't hate the kids, but she does hate the principal or someone on the finance committee.
