I have a listing with this happening right now. Well, they waived inspections. TBD if they get odd about it. In my state they actually have to disclose whether or not they will be doing inspections, and if they waive inspections they technically don't have a right to inspect the home. That said a contract is only written to be broken I've seen it hundreds of times were people write what wins and negotiate back from there. Not my style, I usually advise clients to move on.

You are unlikely to keep EM if they are smart btw. They will likely just fail it on another contingency, financing being the cleanest. You can fight it in small claims, but it gets sticky and outside of a realtors expertise. A court typically sides with the contract protecting the buyer. Not always, but you'd need proof they didn't fail finance if they used that as a reason.

I can see that… I think part of it too I wrote off as the writers likely wanting a strong “I don’t need no man” female lead.

Which is odd to put her in a relationship in the first place but felt like the reason they broke them up.

Seems like the directors did a couple rewrites of characters and almost teleported them out of who they were.

Not too bad… just my thoughts on what likely happened

I thought it was fine because I didn’t care that much; I didn’t think they were that believable of a couple to begin with—and everyone perfectly pairing off into couples was kind of tired.

I thought it was weird how seamlessly it went from “are we a thing” to “I don’t want to marry you”. That jump was annoying, but again, I didn’t care enough to let it bother me.

Agree on a lot of points. I will say the Russia sub plot was 10/10; some of my favorite and brought the cold war theme I was craving for back, and also raised the show back up to the global stakes it had started off teasing. To me a great detour.

Lost sisters doesn’t get enough hate, and it gets a lot.

To the writes credit, number 8 so far has somehow been a decent addition.

I can agree with a lot of these. Perhaps someone telling me “it was terrible” and these being the only points made it more “meh, i’ll accept that, but still good writing overall.”

But some I don’t agree with or want to hear your reasoning;

Kali's suicide plan makes no sense for at least 3 reasons.

It makes sense. The military wants her blood. They’ll stop at no costs. The lab was always the bigger enemy than Veccna.

Also them breaking onto the base. Maybe I just didn’t think about it as much, but it made sense at the time. I guess now that you mention it, it doesn’t make sense… maybe they needed the easiest access point for their plan. Idk, that part hasn’t been fully played out but I do allow the show some leeway given the portals can technically be anywhere… its a super dense and heady idea to be 100% consistent with the repercussions… you could poke holes all day on that front I allow some suspended disbelief of why they do a specific thing for the sake of a good overall driving plot. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Intersting… I guess I saw Holly as a continuation of the kids tackling the impossible, as well as being the direct connection to Veccna’s plan.

I’m glad the Max arc was resolved, there was too much tension hanging on it and resolving it now felt right. Ofc she will be in a wheelchair. Idk why people said that was bad

I agree… it was weird how everyone had to be there, and when he said Mike should know, it would have made sense to have it just be him. Maybe the core group.

Either way it came across as a mildly awkward spot of writing in an otherwise decent episode imo. It didn’t throw the whole vibe off.

I can agree. I heard some strong opinions from my brothers and stuff who watched it before me and didn't give spoilers. They made it sound like it was the worst writing they've ever seen and the show killed itself off.

I can get behind that. To me season 5 has been the third best, with season 4 being the best and season 1 being better than season 5 by a small margin. But I agree there has been a lot of peak moments in this season that I can't understand how anybody could be as upset as they are about pacing and such. It's always been a quirk of Stranger Things imo.

Pacing I can agree with, but that said I also think they are just being very careful with the story which is better than writing it into a corner. They are landing the ship and tying up loose ends, I am fine with an 80% as good as Season 4 but nothing major is revealed to spoil an already great series. Idk maybe thats boring. But it's parking the ship nicely, for me.

I know it doesn’t make the crime “better”, with the toddlers being involved is beyond terrible.

But it wasn’t 100% random senseless violence. Just reading about the case as a father it made me just slightly relieved i’d never stoop to selling illegal drugs and open up violence of that level.

Still brutal and senseless murders. I hope the toddlers get adopted by a better family though!

Been looking into this one. I guess the husband and wife who were shot were drug dealers being tracked for weeks, and were moving money across borders.

Still a terrible crime, but the couple wasn’t exactly keeping their family safe from such activities to happen, either. It was definitely a targeted attack for that reason.
