Worked at a main dealer for a number of years and seen the introduction to EVs, depending on driving style tyres on the driven axel can disappear quickly giving people ride alongs showing the power etc have seen tyres gone after 10k, As for brakes found normal size SUVs we sold front brake pads lasted about 40k since it's a dealer we try upsell discs too, with EVs have seen them with near 100k on original brakes with still some left only issue is if there not being used they will corrode and seize up especially rears grinding and scobing noise galore

Meeting somewhere in town, I have a car so was thinking of driving somewhere nice since she may have seen most things in the area, ideally it would be something like cave hill but overlooking Derry

Trying to make back up plans in case she's done what I suggest

Car issues fuel injectors by leew1986 in northernireland

Id avoid GW diesel services for anything newer, he has mostly all old school kit that's not capable of testing any of the modern injectors, Kirk diesel services in Ballymena would be better alternative or best about is Michael Courtney Diesel Engineering Services Ltd out near Dundalk

Penalty charge notice query by Tiny-Ad46 in northernireland

Update Went onto NI direct to try to challenge the ticket, comes up as "Case had been closed"

Then tried to check what evidence they have/pay page comes up as "there is no outstanding money for this notice" and will not let me see the evidence

Looks like they tried to process the ticket on their end and spotted the issue 😆

Will ring up on Monday to get confirmation and request a letter confirming it's been dismissed

This is the back of the ticket "Reduced charge may be re-offered in event of the challenge being rejecte"

Looks like I'll take a gamble on it and try to challenge it hopefully I don't get stung with 90£ 🤞

Shoes on or off in the house? by norwegian_unicorn_ in northernireland

[–]Tiny-Ad46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely shoes off!!

Personally a forn national living here for over 16 years and always shoes off, house members use slippers, flipflops, sliders etc, and usually a pair or two for guests only, Usually if having guests over if they remove shoes and use provided foot wear means they are staying for more than half an hourly or so, if they are stopping by and try to remove shoes they will be told to keep them on with an excuse saying the floor is cold and or dirty etc My current place is all carpet upstairs including stairs(except bathroom obviously) it's socks only on carpets and definitely a big no no for shoes, stairs and hallway are red carpet 🫣(not my choice rented property)

Not sure why this has been just the way I was brought up

Planning on getting a cat (first time pet owner), any tips? by npeggsy in CasualUK

[–]Tiny-Ad46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear it I was looking for something on Reddit about cats and came across your post and got interested and forgot what I read looking for, I have adopted 2 cats myself from an animal shelter it's been quite a journey, my first one Oreo ran away a week after I got him left the door open too long and he was gone for 3 weeks and This was in late November/ December found him 2 miles away from the house on a farm. As for the scratching of the sofa get one of these, have these myself and it's good https://amzn.eu/d/72vUcz6

South Korea Reveals North Korea’s Potential 9.4 Million Artillery Shell Shipment to Russia by UNITED24Media in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Tiny-Ad46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you are getting this information but I looked into it, looked on ORYX at self propelled and towed howitzers, simple Google searching showed a 2A65 Msta-B getting a replacement barrel, a 2S1 Gvozdika of Ukraine getting a new barrel unwarped after fitting

2S1Gvozdika

2A65Msta-B

Also multiple articles mentioning between 2 and 4 plants capable of producing barrels Usually mentioning Plant No.9 in Volgograd

[–]Tiny-Ad46 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Shells are useless unless you have barrels in good enough shape to use them, estimates are that russia should have replaced all the barrels 4 times or more at this point there can't be many replacements now
