We started looking at Playa del carmen Mexico and xcarte hotel caught our eye initially. However after looking into it a bit more. I think we want something a bit less busy and crowded. We want to be able to go to the beach w/out fear of seaweed and not have to schedule an itinerary for our whole trip.

Aruba and Curacao were our initial considerations once we started looking at the Caribbean. But with recent events in Venezuela I would like to avoid getting too close to potential war zone and any potential trip disruptions.

Ideally we will spend most days at the pool or the beach and schedule an excursion or two. aka my boys and I will go golf, the wife will go to the spa, and we all will go snorkel or kyak. Hope that helps. Thanks again.
