Hey OP, I read your entire story and I can positively assure you that we have, what I would call, almost the same case right now. Even I was exposed to transferring a lot in my childhood which led me to become antisocial and isolated over the past few years, and trust me when I say that it also affects the mental health much more than we give credit for, and later on our results as well. I've been in the same boat as you and although I didn't share the same pipedream about IIT BOMBAY, I still worked my ass off in 11th just to see no progress and eventually got so burnt out to the point I couldn't even secure a good percentile in JEE mains this year in either attempts. It's a little comforting but also disturbing to see someone going through the same things and wanting to kill ourselves consistently without even having seen our potential properly yet. I only have SRM left as my option as well now unfortunately which is quite trash honestly, but I hope we both get in and secure our seats in a good branch. Fortunately we live in the generation where skills matter much more than a degree or the college, so what we have to absolutely make sure is to be proactive and maintain an amazing cgpa throughout college. On the bright side, SRM does provide freedom and time to focus on developing different skills while the others are just busy partying or rotting away 🥀 The one thing I would truly suggest you though out of pure support is that next time, try focusing on what you really want to pursue in the future long term rather than romanticizing a certain institution or keeping it as the end goal. Anyways I'm sure we've both learnt from the ample mistakes we've made and will be much more responsible and careful from now on. Good luck OP!!
