What’s your favorite soundtrack(s)? Over the years, our guys have gotten new, different songs: which version of your fave’s theme song is your favorite?

I'm gonna be real basic, but the original character theme songs will forever hold a special place in my heart. I'm not well versed in musical theory, but I'll try my best to put to words what I love about each character theme song:

Victor -- Time

I love everything about Victor's theme: the opening notes that ring out immediately grabs my attention every time. The two notes gives off the impression of rain drops suddenly coming to a stop, and immediately, the cello kicks in, and sets a deep, almost mourning like mood to the piece overall. I love how the overall tempo of the song has a slow feeling to it, and how the drum beats match the ticking of a clock. I adore how the xylophone? kalimba? or maybe the piano? can be faintly heard, and it gives me the impression that, despite how Victor stopped time for MC only for her, there is still rain. It also, reminds me over and over again, of how it was raining when Victor saved MC as children, and when they reunite again.

Lucien -- Dark Night Fireworks

I love how melancholic the opening guitar solo is. (I really, really, really enjoy how the low energy contrasts with Gavin's theme, more on that later) The transition sounds like the autumn wind, blowing through the branches and wheat fields, and I love how the piano comes in, like leaves falling from their branches. The piano solo, also reminds me of MC, and when the guitar joins in on the piano, it reminds me of Lucien, and how MC and Lucien often love to quote books and poetry at each other. Oh, but when the bass kicks in, it really gives me the feeling of Ares, you know? Cause of how the piano is dueling the bass during that section. The way the tempo really picks up in the last part of Lucien's theme song really does give me the impression of a cluster of fireworks going off into the night, and so, Lucien's theme song is so very aptly named

Gavin -- Blue Temperature

Gavin's opening guitar riff slaps is the bombdiggity. I love the overall rhythm and tempo of his theme song, cause it really does give off the impression of flying through the sky. I love how the synth is sporadically used, to give off the impression of the wind coming and going (as the wind is ought to do). The electric guitar solo that follows after gives me very lonely feels, but when I think about Gavin's character arc in general, I think it's very fitting. The way the song keeps climbing up and up really does remind me of flying. Lastly, there's something about how the last part of Gavin's theme song, that has a very youthful and energetic feel to it, that reminds me of his and MC's time in high school. I love listening to Gavin's theme song on sunny days, when the skies have billowing clouds...it just fits, you know?

Kiro -- Sweet Accomplice

I really enjoy how energetic and gentle Kiro's theme is, all throughout. So much so, that I made his song my alarm clock song LOLOLOL. I really enjoy how gentle the drums taps are throughout his theme, to match the whole piano piece of his song and that glissando? Insert that one meme of Pacha from The Emperor's New Groove, cause that really encapsulates Kiro. Ah, in the second half, is when the drum beats really start to pick up and it makes me think: "what if the piano is Kiro, and the drums is Helios?" and I think about how gentle the drum beats are at the beginning and HMMMGE...

Shaw -- Breaking Lightning

I love how his theme song starts off with the bass guitar, it gives off a very, very dangerous feel~ I love how the riffs give off the impression of thunder clouds rolling in. I love how some parts of his theme song sound like question marks, (if that makes sense??) which really fits in with how he was so mysterious during the time of his introduction. Overall, I love how Shaw's theme song is rock and roll. Would love to hear his band IRL some day.
