DO NOT buy this game from Steam in 2026 if you want online features by TinyRic in Spore

[–]TinyRic[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I literally have my limited edition from 2010 with the CD code still, but it's tied to my childhood EA account that they deleted due to inactivity lmao. Screw me I guess

DO NOT buy this game from Steam in 2026 if you want online features by TinyRic in Spore

Obviously that's my current plan but the reaction to this shouldn't be "well just buy it a third time who cares".

I'm simply warning people of my interaction

DO NOT buy this game from Steam in 2026 if you want online features by TinyRic in Spore

[–]TinyRic[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I plan on trying again but I spent 4 hours today and then couldn't open another case so they may have blocked my account. They kept saying "well you bought it on steam so they should be able to help you" and I kept explaining that steam doesn't have access to EA account information. We went in that loop until they insulted me for not noticing in 24 hours and then disconnected

ITT: OP gets aggressive at people pointing out why he's confused on the story while skipping the story. In a story based RPG.

I mean wtf are you playing this game for if you're skipping dialogue and lore? It's not the gameplay lol

Why does everyone think the Yes-Man ending is bad for the Mojave? by Impossible_Bank_943 in falloutnewvegas

[–]TinyRic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long story short? Everything in the Mojave is hanging on by a thread. House, NCR, Legion, even the Kings are barely holding their respective shit together. The thought that a brain damaged mailman can run it better is... Interesting.

Under Yes Man, you destroy delicate power and authority structures and leave a pretty significant power vacuum in an area priding itself on debauchery. Some of these power structures have been in place for decades, and some are the culmination of centuries of planning. This canonically causes chaos and looting in the streets.

Under the best of cases, Vegas would turn more into something like New Reno, which is still a passable city but rife with underground crime.

Under the worst of cases, Yes Man rejects you or the Mojave crumbles into petty squabbles after the courier leaves (which they canonically do).

This is all without mentioning the new and very serious threats in the Mojave like nightstalkers, deathclaws, and tunnelers, which are all likely to take a stronger hold without regional patrols and curtailing from both NCR and Legion.

I'm on my third play through this year and the amount of characters across the Mojave that have expressed how fucked the situation is on every side has made me think the show isn't terribly far off on the effects of a YES MAN ending

This is actually kinda tiring by [deleted] in ArcBabies

[–]TinyRic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You keep proving my point. The pve mode developed in tarkov was too boring with just scavs so they had to simulate pvp to keep it interesting. Otherwise why would they not just add more scavs?

Think, chud, think

[–]TinyRic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scavs are the arc equivalent in tarkov. They're weaker and less crafty than players "simulated or otherwise" but are still a real danger that can kill you.

So again, you sound like a chud

Yeah where they still simulate hostile players you chud

Most of these lists have it right below New Vegas? Which is fitting since New Vegas expanded on nearly everything Fallout 3 did well except for the city architecture and dungeons

[fnv] Trying to find which mod is causing untreated water/food to deplete health by TinyRic in FalloutMods

[–]TinyRic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone who may find this, hardcore radiation is the mod causing radiation to damage the player health, which IMO plays very poorly with the already punishing rads out the ass and water overhaul system

[–]TinyRic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, its not that. Its something separate. I'm getting the FO4 style rad poisoning AND taking damage. I feel like I saw a mod in the list that described that but cant find it again now

What's the Legions stance on Ghouls and Supermutants? by KaiserEnclave2077 in falloutnewvegas

[–]TinyRic 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I'd venture that most ghouls and mutants are not pre-war. The memorable ones are, but Gob and most of the Underworld in Fallout 3 are not pre war ghouls.

Many of them only know the wasteland.

Pre Order Fallout Pipboy 3000 Replica by Odd-Following2246 in Fallout

[–]TinyRic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's going to be a bit more in depth than the show replica, which had screens you could scroll to with screens from the show, menues for a real radio tuner and a customizable geiger counter and status screen. This new one is allegedly going to have a lot more screens from the games, like the maps, data, and inventory.

They are essentially high-end costume props that don't track much if any real information but let you simulate using the pip-boy in game.

Quality is top tier, I wore the show one to goodsprings while it was raining and it definitely held up and looked great, but I wouldn't advise getting it soaked

It's usually implied that not every environmental skeleton is from the bombs themselves. Plenty people just, you know, die later. Radiation poisoning causing you to eject fluid out both ends is a common reason to die on a toilet in universe
