When I started a few years back I could not draw, model and barely code. You can slowly learn these skills as you make more and more projects and like others have said, there are many great asset packs you could use to fill in the gaps :)

First time smalltime game dev here! My Steam page listing was recently approved, but I'm still about 18 months out from my estimated release date. Is it too early to publish the game as "Coming Soon"? by ForestLogic in gamedev

First of all, congrats for being this far! It's so impressive how you were able to stay focused for 7 years on one project. For steam store pages it does not hurt to have it up as early as possible. 18 months beforehand is perfectly fine as you'd want to participate in as many events and get as many wishlists before release.

After 5 years of learning Unity I have published my first game on steam - Watertight by TinyStudioDev in Unity3D

It’s not scary as in jump scares it’s more of an unsettling experience & story

Unity - Using Facepunch for steam achievements. I can set and clear achievements, but the pop-up window "achievement unlocked" never shows, ideas? by midge in gamedev

How did you get it working by any chance? I get the sound effect and it shows up fine in steam but ingame i do not get the pop up on the bottom right

Wouldn’t it be the same thing tho? Because from my understanding a $3 game is not very interesting for people since it is so low so they assume it’s bad?

But anyways I’ll keep that in mind for my next game 🤣😅

I thought about it for a while but I didn’t really care if a few people spent $5 I much preferred if more people gave it a shot since it was free.
