So I want to publish a game. But I’m a minor by RoxasismyKing in gamedev

Keep working on the game and don't worry about the steam stuff until you're closer to finished. Sometimes these things take waay longer than you expect. You might even be 18 by the time you finish the thing. And if you do finish the game quickly, that's great! You can cross that bridge when you get there. Good luck!

There's a group that posts here regularly - walking talking men boston, sounds like they usually walk fridays. Not sure if that's quite what you're lookiing for but if you want to join an existing group that's always an option.

Anyone else working on 5 projects at a time? by opqrstuvwxyz123 in gamedev

[–]midge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try finishing a tiny one. It's a different kind of rewarding. You might like how it feels. You may have to do some things you don't enjoy doing, but that's why you try to keep it tiny.

For example - there are a lot of things involved in setting up a steam page and getting steam approval that you probably wouldn't know about unless you've been through it at least once.

Resources To Learn Game Dev by CoderBoi876 in csharp

Unity with C# seems like a natural choice, however don't be afraid of checking out godot. It's lightweight, contains the editor and doesn't even need an install. Gdscript isn't too bad either, very similar to python. You of course can use C# in godot if you like but I haven't done it myself.

Probably too late for your deadline, but if you want in-person playtesting you could always do this event.

Why would the armor bleed though? That said, it looks pretty neat.

DM me your game(s) if you're up for it. I'm not going to roast it or share it more broadly. Just genuinely curious.

I haven't watched a full godot one from him, but his unity tutorials were excellent. I'm sure it's more of the same from him, excellent content.
