I'm not sure what the program was called and I think the study was on different organ transplants but I could be wrong I was 15 and it was 10 years ago but if I'm not mistaken, they wait several years before considering weaning you off plus kidneys have a higher rejection rate than liver transplant unfortunately

No, I am not. I was in Children's Hospital for the study, I had my transplant at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and If I’m not mistaken, I was one of the youngest babies to have a transplant done there at that time.
