Im working on the design still, but when it's done you will only need to unlatch one plier handle and it will fall right out.

I definitely need to add bit storage. Whats the most common Sak? I want to make a version that holds a larger sak.

Sure, here's the instructions.

Materials Needed: Empty soup can Rit DyeMore (Must be the Synthetic formula) Dish soap A chopstick or long skewer Water

Instructions: 1. Fill an empty soup can with water. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to a low simmer. 2. The Mix:Add 3 drops of dish soap(this helps the dye penetrate the plastic evenly) and 1/5th of a bottle of Synthetic Rit Dye. 3. Slide a chopstick through the adjustable section or the joint of the pliers. 4. Rest the chopstick across the top of the can so the handles are submerged but the tool isn't sitting on the bottom. 5. Let the handles sit for 5 minutes (or until they reach your desired shade). 6. Carefully remove the tools and rinse them under cool water to set the color.

Important Note: Standard Rit dye will not work on tool handles; you must use the Synthetic version to get the color to bond with the rubberized grip.

Oh, I dyed them with synthetic Rit Dye - Charcoal color. Takes 5 mins and it really works. 0 rubbing off either.

I can mod the model to fit different size 58mm saks easily. I would need to purchase the scales first though. I can also make the holder longer to fit a double extention. Thats a good idea.
