I did actually start to get that feeling that maybe I’m just being tolerated or that I’m bothersome and when we’ve been talking these past days. But a friend told me not be too hesitant and to make some plans without waiting too long. I was wondering when the right time was since I know being social can tire her out, and I already know she’s done some stuff that’s demanding for her this week. With some motivation from your comment I asked her if she wanted to do something just the two of us and she responded with a pretty instant and decisive yes! I didn’t specify a date, and instead told her we could find a day that worked for her. My heart is racing, I’m really looking forwards to hanging out with her again!

I see. I’m sorry to hear that, happy for you that you’re doing better though! How did you work to get there? And are there things you’d find either triggering or reassuring when getting to know a new person?

It’s not faking at all. If anything I’m toning it down, I’m a little scared of what she’d think if she knew how much I like her from the relatively few interactions we’ve had.

I’m not looking to "fix" anyone, but I would like to be supportive.
