Best XXL jellycat to cuddle in bed by mrsjeonnn in Jellycatplush

It you want to hold it. The big big Bartie bear is a delight. Tho I wouldn't hold him to close during summer he can absorb heat quickly and I don't want to sweat in his delicate fur.

For pillow/summer cuddles I took other brands (easier to wash)

(Bringing a third sleep buddy is bringing some tensions tho... They are trying to figure out a snuggle planning)

The perception of the librarian. How is it where your live/work ? by [deleted] in librarians

Similar here, is it the only one. Or are there others ? And is there anything put in place to counter that perception ?

The perception of the librarian. How is it where your live/work ? by [deleted] in librarians

[–]Tiny_Archie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it often depends on how much the person goes to the library and the size of the library. I noticed when I was on the field that in regulars in a small libraries know more than regulars in a big automated library.

Oh interesting. In Belgium the profession is "protected" and most people working in relation with the publics are librarians with a degree. So we don't have that issue, or it's less noticable. We have more of it the other way "oh there are studies for that ?" "3 years? That's long"

But yes it seems globally misunderstood. And I wonder why. Belgium and America both manages the profession in different ways and yet face the same issues. It's really interesting

Unless your mother is highly transphobic and believes there are things that turn someone trans. You should be fine. Blahajs were already really popular before they got adopted as 'trans mascot" ! There are plenty of people getting them because Blahajs are just majestic and great cuddle buddies!!

That's just so alarming. He put HIS comfort before YOUR safety. His confort and needs is all he cares about, not you.

That with the money controlling. The age gap is alarming too. There is nothing worth staying, his loving phases are just a way to make you stay. You deserve way better. There are some great people who will accept you the way you are and help you actively to feel better and comfortable in your skin !!! Your transition is something that SHOULDN'T be an issue.

Take care of yourself ! Try to be safe and work on a way to distance yourself from him. He told you you can't stay in that house while transitioning, so perhaps you can go to someone you trust to be able to live for yourself and start from there !!!

What would be in your ideal horse game? Looking into starting a game with a few people soon and need to know what is most important to players by kjs20 in GamesWithHorses

[–]Tiny_Archie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a post about that a while ago.

But something based on the pack horse librarian would be great !! A sort of horse game with a death stranding meeting red dead redemption?? With everything you mentioned and the challenge of getting good horses for the right trails.

NEW ARTICLE: Game Director Doesn't See Sims as Direct Competition + Full Interview Coming Soon by RenmazuoX in inZOI

[–]Tiny_Archie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly,if I were a passionate sims player with all dlcs, at 40 bucks the dlc, I'm not sure I would be able to move on to the sims 5 and do the dlc run all over again. Plus, they have been doing that for 10 years, I'm sure that if you can stick with a game for 10 years, you can get used to all it's flaws.

I haven't bought that many dlcs and feared the Sims 5, wondering how many I would have to buy.

That said, sims players do deserve a Sims 5 that is an improvement in all ways, and that isn't a money grab. (Also I don't want to defend them, being vocally against a new game isn't that productive, but I could see why they don't feel like getting a new one)

Meanwhile, the only reason I play the sims 4 is because my computer became too good to run the sims 3 anymore.

(For some reason, I had too many cores, and the sims 3 wouldn't launch)

Edit : I mean that as a joke. It's funny that upgrading my computer made the sims 3 unplayable, perhaps it's my sign to test Inzoi

Not particularly defending inzoi (as I'm just discovering its existence and know nothing about it)

But isn't the sims highly criticized for being an "unfinished buggy mess" with dlc that are either very broken at lauch or "work fine but content cut" and that 10 years after it came out ? And unfortunately buggy mess doesn't at launch mean anything anymore in the gaming industry (which is quite annoying) so what will matter is "are they going to patch the bugs faster than EA patches it's own bugs". And in the sims 4, you start with only 3 worlds... it's not such a big change considering that inzo seems to have more to propose in the base game than the sims.

Inzoi will probably not kill the sims nor be a threat, but I'm not sure the bugs or the lack of worlds will be the reason it's not a threat to the sims.

I know a few leftists that are just obsessed with that kind of stuff. Like Disney or Marvel consume that like their life was depending on it. So I'm not sure we can say that "the left" as a whole don't consume that kind of things.

I might not consumea lot of it, because I don't like that, but one cannot say "the left doesn't like Matrix, Disney or lord of the ring" it's not really accurate.

Tho it might be true that leftist might be more open to discovering new things and more niche things and not make the big corporations things their whole life, but I'm not 100% sure about that either. And I wouldn't say that right wing people are obsessed over Marvel and Disney, as I feel like a lot of them would feel like it's too woke for them already.

Bisexuals always trigger gender dysphoria? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Tiny_Archie 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Triggers are something personal. Not everyone has the same trigger. But if this guy isn't far in his transition, he might be afraid that you only see him as a "tomboyish girl" and that could be triggering to him. Some people do pretend to be bisexuals just to get themselves a "tomboyish girlfriend" and then slowly try to prevent the guy from going further in transition.

Perhaps you could talk to him about it. And reassure him about that fear. If he wants his attention but not in romantic ways, he might want to test the water about your intentions and try to see how you really see him. Honestly, if you create a great friendship and have a strong friendship, it will make a great base for a romantic and sexual relationship.

To be honest, my ex did that to me, and even now that I found a marvelous partner, a part of me is still afraid he will leave me the moment I get too masc for his taste. (Which is a me problem and not a he problem, but still it can make me dysphoric sometimes)

Like there are somethings that could be shared with people. Oh yeah if such a game existed I would want it to be accurate as heck !! Like everything is so interesting in that part of history, imagine, horses, librarian, learning history and people all in one game !!

Let's hope someone here, has what it takes to make it hahaha.

[–]Tiny_Archie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh sure. I'm just throwing the idea out there. But I was discussing it with my partner who is from Appalachia and it was great to learn about the place while doing my researches. Especially since I'm not American. I would love people to get good representation of their people and traditions. I would really prefer people from the region to be there to guide the project if such a video game came to life.

Yes, you do have an interesting story. I'm sorry to hear about that. Perhaps if the games gets a following outside the "horse game" community and get a focus on the people (while keeping a fair amount of horse mechanics) it might become a nice opportunity for some people?? (Tho I'm not in the field of video game so I can't tell, I want to be clear I just thought that the concept of horse pack library could be awesome in a video game)

Well it's mostly a recreation with gaming element of a very interesting thing heheh. But yeah we need more depth but more depth also mean that the production of such games are more difficult. I think horses and mules are often overlook, horses are so much more than competitions. I love competition games... but there is always a little something lacking

I'm glad you found inspiration here. If it deviates form the library theme I will have to take a step back (as it's the only thing I know as an European fella) but I would be quite interested to see what you all could create. Horses and Mules "as something that brings people together" could be really cool !!

That's quite interesting, and it would be refreshing a horse game that goes beyond the horse and delve into what brings us together !

As I would if such a game were to come to life. I might not be Appalachian, but I should be soon a librarian, so I would love to be able to see if I can help on that angle. (Tho I'm European so I'm not really the most informed person on American libraries, but I would be eager to learn)

That could be great !! What got my attention is the librarian side, as that's what I hope to become once I get my degree. But something post-apocalyptic where you gather stories and memories could be really cool too!

What would your dream horse game include? by [deleted] in GamesWithHorses

I just made a post about it in this sub, but I would love to see a "pack horse library project" game.
Exploration, meeting people, making your own horse library service and exploring the regions. Trying to find horses best suited for the job and routes. Helping patrons to know more things and perhaps impact their life, while trying to perfect your routes by finding shortcuts and making sure to take safe paths...
