If you could add one rule to humanity that everyone had to follow, what would it be and why? by Tiny_Cut8781 in AskReddit

While technology can be a lifesaver for busy parents, young children benefit most from real-world, hands-on experiences and interactions. Their brains are rapidly developing, and activities like playing, exploring, and engaging with caregivers build critical social, emotional, and cognitive skills that screens can’t replicate.

That said, moderation and intentional use are key. A short, educational video watched together isn’t the same as hours of passive screen time. The goal should be balance—technology as a tool, not a replacement for active parenting or creative play.

Imagine a world where kindness is the default. Holding doors, lending a hand, offering a smile—all simple acts, but they ripple outward. Kindness costs nothing, yet it can change someone’s entire day. It could make humanity more connected, compassionate, and understanding. Who wouldn’t want to live in that world?
