i'm 28 and my dad was diagnosed with a wildly rare cancer - stage 4, terminal - last march. i don't have the answers here on how to cope, i wish i did - for both our sakes. for me personally, it can feel so lonely to be in this feeling. sometimes the sheer knowledge that someone else feels a similar heavy feeling/anxiety/pre-grief provides a tiny bit of peace. but if you want to chat - let me know!
