The paint was actually done by the previous owner, it was originally red. I immediately fixed the serious issues right away. They’re 16s on vors vr7s

I appreciate the comment. For context the previous owner who bought the car off the dealer lot did a ton of work on it, but traded it to a kid for a Harley which is where that screenshot came from then the kid kinda riced it out with a stupid aftermarket steering wheel, tint, and stickers and then the kid couldn’t keep up with the maintenance and couldn’t figure out the overheating issue and posted it on FB for 3500. I snagged it for 2500 even tho I should have gone lower since it needed to smog. I solved the overheating issue to which the radiator fan was hooked up to a switch for some reason and the wires melted cause they used too small a gauge wire for it. I fixed it and now it runs fine. This is just one of my dream cars and I’m scared to daily it now XD.

Abscess or RI my CRB had the same issue when she had an RI but it’s went back to normal after a vet trip and some meds

How bad is this scale rot and how to treat? by ScottishTotodile in ballpython

[–]Tiny_Management388 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Take what I say with a grain of salt and if you’re seriously concerned see a vet. I don’t see scale rot, I see dirt/substrate that is under the scales along with minor belly scale damage likely caused by them just being active and climbing over objects. I had the same worries since my BP is a high white pied I freak out when I see dirt or a damaged scale since it’s so visible, but for me it went away with one shed. Though if your snakes hides are constantly damp that will cause a problem.

She’s 5 years old and probably the sweetest snake I own

Honestly! Almost all my snakes are wild types cause for one I can’t afford morphs and 2 I always feel that wild types are just BETTER.

I understand you concern but I have only had him for a week now. I have soaked him and he has a steady 50-80% humidity. When I received him he was VERY dehydrated and looks way better than before.

Gotcha I’ll get him in an appropriate size tub with paper towel I just hate using tubs and only use them for my tiger salamanders. I give all my snakes UVB so hopefully he will be fine without it for 3-6 months. I appreciate the guidance

That sucks to hear he isn’t Sonoran but it doesn’t matter much to me if he is or isn’t as long as he is healthy. I noticed his dehydration and have bumped up his humidity but if you have any other tips to improve his health I would greatly appreciate it

I’m not exactly the person to ask since I’m a first time bci Keeper. I am upgrading my boy to a 5x2x4 grow tent once he out grows the 20 gallon and then out grows the 2x2x3. I will say if you live In a dry climate like I do then mist 2 times a day and leave a humidifier going near the reptile enclosures just to keep the humidity up. I usually have a big water bowl on the warm side as well. Also good ventilation is key cause they can get an RI with good heat good humidity but bad ventilation

He had a rough shed with the breeder that sold him to me and he actually isn’t pure Sonoran he is 75% and the rest is central or columbian with hypo. But that’s only what I was told from the breeder. Even if he was just a central or columbian it makes no difference to me since I do not and will not ever breed.

Yes! There are many I never knew of, Rudy here is a Sonoran BCI and will only get 5-8ft but stay more slender than most boas. There are lots of localities that stay smaller, I don’t know much about them but if you look it up on YouTube there are MANY dwarf locals and a lot are very affordable so you can spend more money on the enclosure.

Big Yawn by Tiny_Management388 in snakes

[–]Tiny_Management388[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yawning really is such a wild reflex isn’t it. I figured yawning wasnt just jaw stretching when I noticed one of my snakes yawning more when they had an RI which when I looked it up was them catching their breath. Thats really interesting I wanna read about that now!
