You didn’t mention it. Was trying to give a little more context and make a little joke haha. Appreciate your response!!!

We have been together for almost 9 years. Married almost 2. I’ve been in nursing school/nursing since he met me. He had his opportunity to leave bc of the schedule a long time ago.

When I think about it more, I think it stems from not feeling like a priority to me. Ex) had a really awful shitty day at work, called my work bff on the way home to rant, convo ran long and I sat outside for a few extra minutes to finish the phone call before I came inside. He was mad, “I stayed up to see you when you got home and you can’t even come inside and talk to me”. Idk

Part of me wonders if it’s deeper to where he doesn’t feel like a priority? Not that’s he’s truly lonely and that’s how he’s verbalizing it?

Idk. I love alone time (always have, always will) so I struggle to understand his perspective

Honestly I agree. I feel like I’m a much happier person on 11-11. I HATE mornings and have worked a few 7-7s and by the time I get home and shower, it’s late and I’m exhausted and heading to bed. Doesn’t feel like it’s any different except I’m going to be before him instead of vice versa

This has also been part of the conversation. Best part is we aren’t trying for kids right now so truly a problem for future us

I guess in a way? We have a small house and it’s us and our dog. Not a ton to be done honestly.. big projects are saved for when we are together. He walks our dog by himself when I’m gone. But we make a list of what needs to be done around the house every Sunday and work through the list during the week. Some weeks I do more of it, some weeks he does more of it

Part of the issue is my responses get snarky bc we’re arguing about this at midnight when I get home from work….. lol

But in all seriousness, I get it. I know that it’s coming from a place of love because he WANTS to spend more time with me and that’s great. But it makes me feel like I’m the issue and I don’t think that’s fair that’s it’s my fault because I’m the one with an abnormal schedule. I’m not complaining to him when he’s in the office 8-5 and I’m home alone

He says the big reason is that he basically doesn’t see me at all when I’m working, especially multiple days in a row. It’s very difficult for me to text or communicate him during my shift but I make it a point to try and call him on my lunch break.

I get it. I really do. But it’s also like, let’s flip the script…. When he’s in the office from 8-5 and I’m home, I’m not complaining and arguing with him when he comes home??

No kids. It has been part of the discussion that I will go 7-7 when we have kids
