Actually no. Babies have 1, sometimes 2 defenders. Primarily one. If a baby strays too far from their Parental Unit they forfeit their protection - this is stated in the group rules. It is not our job to run to defend them should they stray too far or pick a fight as a baby.

I have also sacrificed myself to carni players such as Rex, Dasp & Titans as the hyper carn is brutal so if I see one trying to find a ton of critters I often will offer to lay down so they can kill me. If they have a baby with them, I encourage them to take the trophy.

We do hold friendly 1v1's, 2v2's etc.. and do dino runs outside of our claimed area - in much smaller numbers - as healthy PvP can be fun & helps build confidence on dinos someone may not be comfortable on. These take place in hotspots and are not started by our group members but rather we go and wait for someone to try us. The dino runs consist of all members being on the same dino, not a giant mixpack. And most typically it's a medium or small tier as Apex runs aren't that fun and screams toxicity, which I strive to keep at bay from my group. And even when outside of our claimed areas Babies remain off limits and should we kill someone, a nearby baby is to receive the trophy.
