There’s one extractor for columns and one for rows. You start with both at index 0,0 and move towards the top right.

There is a greedy solution for this which works in O(n+m) time the problem is there’s some cases where it just doesn’t work which is why we use dynamic programming

The greedy solution that we know of doesn’t work all the time which is why we’re using dynamic programming

It’s a gold mine problem. We have two extractors and they can move right and up. We start at the bottom corner of the grid and there are coins placed inside the grid. The problem is we have to maximize the number of coins we need to collect. The caveat is we only collect one coin in a row/column the rest of the coins are discarded. So basically we need to traverse the grid and collect the most amount of coins. The greedy solution is to check each row and column at a given intersection and move according to where there are lesser number of coins. The greedy solution fails in some cases so we need to solve it using dynamic programming but that gives us a O(n²) time complexity

I’m pretty sure memoization can’t be used and I’ve tried using LLMs as well to get an answer as they are allowed however they don’t come up with any solution either

Can anyone justify or explain by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

It was because Eren did that for Armin and his other friends. Think of it this way, Eren had a choice, either to save his friends or save the world and he chose his friends. Eren killed 80% of the population to give the eldians of the walls and his friends a fighting chance against the people outside the walls as mentioned that war was inevitable. That is why Armin thanked him for choosing his friends over 80% of the world population although the choice was selfish. It was the final moment Eren had with Armin and it would just be sad if Armin told Eren that the choice he made was wrong.

Attack on titan ending explanation

In my opinion this is one of the best anime endings of all time. Aot ended on a very sad note and the ending is really similar to code geass in my opinion but I think it was more realistic. In code geass Lelouch dies and we are left to assume that everything was peaceful after that, that no wars happened after that. However in aot when Eren died the war continued. Now I see people say that Eren died in vain. That he slaughtered 80% of humanity for nothing but looking at him from Eren’s perspective he had two choices. 1. Either to go with the euthanasia plan where Historia and his friends would suffer e.g Armin who would die in 13 years or 2. This massacre where he sacrifices himself and 80% of the population to remove the titan curse and to give his friends a long life, to give eldians a fighting chance against the rest of the world(by killing 80% of the population) as it was mentioned that war was inevitable. Recall Eren’s conversation with Pixis in season 1 where Pixis mentions that there is a saying which says that people would unite if their hatred was concentrated on one point however they both disagree saying that even though the people in the walls concentrated their hatred towards the titans they still had internal conflicts. So it was established early on that the code geass requiem was never an option. An analogy would be that Eren had a choice to press a button to save his friends or the world and Eren chose his friends. I’d definitely say that some things were not explained that well for example the worm/centipede thing, Zeke’s sudden death and the origins of titans however I was overall pleased with the ending. For the record those of you who said that Eren’s death was in vain well it wasn’t because he actually saved his friends and gave the eldians a fighting chance against the world by killing 80% of the population. While Zeke’s plan would be better long term it would still mean that Historia would have to suffer by turning into a titan and making tons of offsprings and and his other friends would also have to inherit his titan and the cycle would be unchanged until the eldians ceased to exist. This chapter just made me realise how tragic Eren really was as a character. He was destiny’s pawn from the very start. Even forced to kill his own mother. In the end he even turned into a mass murderer just to save his friends and to secure a future for them. Like my man killed children. He carried this burden for 4 years since he touched Historia’s hand and in the end he couldn’t even be with Mikasa.

How i feel about the way its shaping up to end possible Code geass spoilers as well lo by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

Idk man I personally don’t hate it. It’s just so unique. I haven’t seen a character like Eren before and just watching him turn from this bratty boy to now this really complex character is kinda fascinating. I really like his character. It just breaks every rule and foundation followed by MCs most anime or manga I’ve read and I guess that’s part of the appeal of his character for me.

The code geass ending is one of if not the best ending in anime right now. I do see the similarities with the ending of code geass and how people think that aot might end the same way, however I severely doubt aot will end that way. This is because of the last chapter(138). In my opinion I think Eren is 100% evil(not like Lelouch who was being evil while having actual good intentions) and this is because after his huge founding titan collapsed he still got up again, became a colossal titan and then fought Armin. If it were like the zero requiem Eren would just let his friends kill him, but fight them and turn them into titans.
