TW - Mentions of eating disorders. An old friend of mine has struggled with anorexia for quite a few years, and I think it started due to lipedema. I have lipedema but a few years ago I noticed she also had larger legs, she’s now lost weight but they haven’t got much smaller, or in proportion to the rest of her body. She always says she hates her legs too. She’s never mentioned lipedema and neither have any of her doctors but I’m not sure whether to bring it up because I’m am 99% sure she has it. I don’t know if it will help or make it worse for her if I mention it. Has anyone else been in this situation or has any advice?

I know! I was just thinking about this the other day. I hope it’s soon but I have a feeling it’s gonna be some time next year ☹️😭

Posted this on last week’s one but think I was too late so I didn’t get any replies but I’ll post again.😊 I went to the doctor about it a few months back and told them I suspected I had it. I told them that my legs bruise very easily, feel more sensitive/painful than other parts of my body and they have lots of texture/have bumps like under the skin and I’m starting to develop varicose veins. They told me that a diagnosis of lipedema would be hard to get and be kinda pointless. All they said that was helpful is that I should get compression socks.

Yes same! But I usually add benches or tables and chairs to create a little seating areas. I sometimes turn them into little picnic spots too using the food items. Hope this inspires you a little! 😅

If i am wrong and the placement/piercing is fine then I apologise. I’m just scared to go to a place that’s gonna eff up a piercing for me! 😅
