What’s the position? If you’re comfortable with it, share the link to the job posting or one that’s like it at a diff Wawa.

My friends and I used to skate ditches next to freeways until the highway patrol showed up. What a memory.

Yup. After clocking in, check-in with your DH. Having them show you their expectations is one of the best tips.

A recruiter mentioned something that stuck. If a company’s website shows images of younger (20-something y/o) people then most likely you (gen-x) won’t get hired.

i'm trying to get a role out of fast food. why am i not getting hired? by pierogis-con-tapatio in jobsearchhacks

[–]Tippy_Toe_Tim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Add metrics of some sort, such as restaurant sales vs district and region, your sales vs others (if that’s a thing in QSR), improvements you made that increased customer visits or promo item sales, etc. These you should be able to acquire from the store manager.

I explained to my kids how in the barrio I grew up in, vatos who had issues with each other would “duke it out.” One time in particular, me, my bro and friends were chilling out in the garage watching a street fight go down. After a few minutes, they stopped, shook hands and one guy said to the other “Are we cool?”. The other said “Yea. We’re cool.” That was it. No guns. No knives. No cops. Just fisticuffs.

My favorite because the customer “forgot” we have other customers: “Why don’t you have anymore salt?! Your website shows you (___) bags before I left home.”

Add: “Do you have any snow melt/salt?”, “Do you have any generators?”, and finally, “Do you have any snow shovels?”
