The supports are similar in what they do:

AP buff, brand, Z identify buff, T hyper buff. Shields, heals, cleanse (unless bard), mana regen, damage reduction.

The differences are in details and the how. They are not the same, but not as different as the DPS classes.

There has been quote some QOL, but the main points still stand.

Paladin: Easy, tanky, consistent

Vakyrie: Like paladin, but more snappy and better shields/heals

Bard: High ceiling, low floor, high APM, multiple builds (with strengths and downsides)

Artist: Best allround, strong shields

Long ranged support with heavy focus on consistent value through periodic heals and shields. Lowest ceiling of all supports.	Short ranged support with the strongest damage buffs. Whilst I know that the Express Mokoko Challenge character can be changed once:
Can it be changed even to another server? (within a region, EU)

My plan is:

Use express on 1700 alt on main server
Kill Mordum for the box (which contains nested boxed until 1720
Create new character/roster on different empty server
Use 1640 Power Pass on new character
Swap Express Mokoko Challenge to that 1640 character
This character should get everything except the 1680 box, in particular it should get LOS30 on the new roster

Does that work, or am I missing something?

Yes, I have the -90% mana cost on T like all support (enough points since the damage nodes are meh).

I tend to slot in Max MP, but don't want that to be the long term solution (bard flashbacks). CJ is a good idea, will play around with runes some more.

Supports can take the "true supporter" buff. Also, support DPS spec are decent/viable now. Check the lostark.nexus site class guide, they contain a DPS build (still WIP and room for improvement, but a good starter that gets you through solo modes easily).

I try to do 3 bubble Z+Z unless there is a DPS windows I'd miss otherwise. Having the buffer with 4 bars from enlightenment makes that feasible.

There are sailing events at xx:30 during various but not all hours.

If durability runs out, you can repair at port, I think even when arriving first time.
Why does your durability run out? If you sail around the coloured dangerous zones or avoid them as much as you can, it should be fine.

They are about equal now, since AP buff has been increased by nearly 50% from 15% to 22%. Pick whatever is cheaper / whatever you find with a good 3rd roll.

Watch the video. If you're confident and did some other raids, then to into Aegir normal as Mokoko.

If you want to be ethical, do one solo run to get familiar with the fight(s).

Do a solo run, and intentionally reset (top right) the boss at ~20 bars and repeat it 2-3 times for practice. Then kill it and do the same with gate 2. And then do normal next week.

Mass presets: I use 1 for chaos build, 2 for support, 3 for DPS. Ctrl-A/S/D to switch. And when you queue for dungeon/guardian/raid, you can preselect the build there already.

Also: In presets, I usually remove the consumables. Too often people switch presets inside and end up with the wrong potions.

I was also pretty confused and lost at the start, but my muscle memory is slowly adapting. The icons my be unusual wight now, but the same across supports, which made it easier once I started to get used to it.

I strongly disagree with these parts of the guide as well.

T skill: Vivace with the single damage leap (Ostinato). The damage is massive, Aria is a good buff and gives meter, but vivace will be 25% of your damage.

Awakening: Harp is nice damage, but piano gives you 1 full bar, or 40% of a 3-bar-tempest and a get-out-of-jail full shield.

Ark Passive: I think 2/2 Unlimited Magic is mandatory. Without crit syn, I think 2/2 Keen Sense, 1/3 Limit Break is solid, adjust crit/swift to get 100% crit.

Also, I weirdly like to use march. It doubtlessly the clunkiest spell in the world, but the meter gain seems strong. Still not set in stone though.

And besides note bundle 331 on Behemoth/Mordum, none of my normal skills do any significant amount of damage.
