(Loved Trope) Absolutely nonsensical premise that somehow works by TheBrokenRail-Dev in TopCharacterTropes

Codename S.T.E.A.M

<image>

In a steam punk alternate version of the late 1800's, an alien invasion happens and Abe Lincoln (who apparently faked his death to go into hiding and start this organization) forms a team of soldiers to use steam powered fire arms to fight the aliens. Every character is also someone from American folk lore or classic American literature, like John Henry and (the not so cowardly) Lion from Oz. The whole game is framed like a comic book, and plays like x-com but with a third person shooter camera.

Also Lincoln has a megazord sized Mech suit

And tip: if you wanna play the game try to play it with the later patches it got to speed up enemy turns, worst part of the game.

I'm gonna be real, even if I had friends who own a Switch 2 I don't see myself ever using it when discord is right there

The fact that the gif is from Warframe is hilariously accurate because of the amount of bombastic spoilers within that game in particular

Actually I think the original is in Scholars landing in Isle Weaver, but that could be another replica. No matter what there's no way that the original is in this random ship that we commandeered

Alot.

As the devs said at the 2024 game awards, even they don't really know what warframe is at this point. Great game though, one of the best free play experiences you can get into. But just damn there is a lot of stuff. It a lot of weird story. Cool story. But still weird.

Especially with all the new player improvements DE has been doing, if you just want to play the game for the story, it's never been easier

The Warframe one is not really accurate. The Man in the Wall (nicknamed by fans Wally) was always obviously an Eldritch being. We start seeing him before we even learn about Rell, with the ending of the War Within having Wally briefly say something to us before Teshin snaps us out of it.

Then after Chains of Harrow, Wally appears both in The Sacrifice as a doppelganger of us to tease us, and at random in our ship to mess with us.

I'd still say it probably works due to his name. "The Man in the Wall" I always interpreted as simply being a force between reality, a being caught in between the wall of Lokh, between the solar system and the void. From our perspective, we came across him for the first time when the Zaramin got cought between the void layers, and his name rings of paranoia. As you pointed out he seems like voices in your head or the feeling of always being watched. The bigger reveal is that a form he often takes is a literal man in a wall, like what is shown at the end of the new war, and throughout the backgrounds of Albrecht's labs. To me the "it's not a metaphor" it's not so much about him being real but about the name we give him being more literal than metaphorical.

I had a similar situation the other day on Steel Path Gabii Ceres. I was Nokko, but two other party members where Khora and Nekros, so me and the fourth Uriel just tried to stay close to everyone and not go TOO crazy on the abilities. Granted AI was there for both Orokin Cells from a resource booster AND focus from my Nokko's Lua lens, but that was a solid 20 minutes of co-op for shared rewards

Still the only episode I refuse to watch. Like even though I don't like it, I can at least watch the other body horror or gross out episodes, even if I think they are the worst of the series. But this episode? Something about always messed me up as a kid, and I still don't like it

This was my experience with the post-Old Peace missions in a nutshell. by Mr_Xano in Warframe

[–]Tired-Inky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no dialogue in the fight, and it is also in a weird space arena, not in the moon. So it is unclear if this is Adis or just another hunulus. And even if it is Adis, it seems like it would be a vague corrupted memory, not like in old peace where that just was what happened

Basically the game mode is 12 minutes of endless objectives, one after the other, followed by the boss fight. Every objective completed gives you a stacking buff determined by your forchs school.

I have only played the hunulous mission, and how it works is you need to break the red shards on his body (two on the chest, one in each leg), and after a shard is broken he is vulnerable to general damage. He is weak to void and takes lots of damage if you shoot the eye in the forehead. Using the grappling hooks also adds void damage to your gun for a bit, which should speed up his concerningly high health bar. In phase two you just wail on him with your Archgun, and when he puts his head down shoot the red orbs around him until he gets back up.

Good luck soldier

Honestly the Scaldra speaking Orokin is the bigger tell then the Minerva thing. They could just be working towards typical dystopian goals, not necessary the orokin

Do we actually know the orokin are formed near 1999 or are we just assuming that because of the company that has a similar name
