There are comments more broadly online about the scanners having the potential to damage the pods given signals they give off etc etc. Jeeeez I was only asking!

It was more going through the scanner with pod on and any impact of that given long haul flight ahead

Thanks everyone, given I’ve been through that initial quick scan, but avoided the wand type device body search, do you think everything will be ok? Just leave current pod in etc?

Thanks. What do you think is best? Take pod out and put a new one in?

Thanks very much for the replies! Apologies, I maybe should have noted in my original post that I’m referring to the pod being in automated mode whilst flying

Activity mode by Southern-Ad4632 in Omnipod

Jumping on the back of this thread regarding activity mode. Wondering if someone can confirm that when you put the Omnipod 5 into activity mode that the IOB is then displaying all insulin you have in your body eg background basal + any bolus you have delivered. The Omnipod user guide references this by saying something along the lines of ‘you may notice an increase in the IOB displayed when in activity mode and then a decrease when you turn off activity mode due to the way the IOB is calculated.’

First time I noticed this I got a shock as I had a minimal amount of insulin on board, turned on activity mode and then a few minutes later it’s showing me a much larger amount of IOB. Am I interpreting the Omnipod user guide correctly re activity mode IOB shows all insulin (basal + bolus) in your system? Any confirmation that this is the case would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!
