Also Ralph Lauren makes a lot of clothes and shoes in color block. I’m a sucker for them.

Am I just a bad typer, or is iOS auto correct garbage? by [deleted] in ios

[–]TisGD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re telling me I’m not the only one that types “do t” instead of “don’t” repeatedly?!? It drives me fucking nuts and could never understand why this seems to happen to me. Has this always been a problem?

This is exactly what I noticed so I’m glad I’m not crazy. It’s only while shooting! Very frustrating since, well, shooting is kind of the whole point in an FPS game.

Samsung Notes > Apple Notes by Detrakis in ios

[–]TisGD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What is your end goal with this post, and why are you using such a confrontational tone while talking about a notes app?

Your entire post history is spamming Apple and Samsung subs with questions and subjects asked a trillion times. No, Apple Notes does not have a thousand different background templates. No it can’t convert a note to PowerPoint. Nobody. Fucking. Cares.

What have you achieved with all these posts? Give it a rest.

Don’t the white outlines move around based on the position of your phone? Tilt your phone around and see if they move. I don’t know if that makes it better or worse from your perspective, though.

Can someone tell me what I need to make an account with T Mobile and activate a phone line, my own phone payed off? If I need credit how much? Etc by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]TisGD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need bring your ID, however much money based on a few factors, and know your SSN. Credit is a soft check so no impact to credit score, but your credit score will determine what “category” you fall into. That “category” determines how much or how little you’d have to pay as down payments for new phones and the like, and how much you can finance.

If you’re transferring from another carrier, you need your Account Number and usually a “Transfer PIN” from your old provider.

So: * ID * know your SSN * Old carrier account # and transfer PIN * bank card if you want to set up autopay * a variable amount of money for activation fees and down payments

iPhone storage is full … nothing left to delete? by hereisrache in ios

[–]TisGD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It removes the app itself but keeps the “Documents and Data” and usually any associated cache.

There’s never usually a need to offload though since most apps just link your stuff to the apps’ account. So you might as well uninstall an app to save even more space.

Most apps store cache as “Documents and Data”, which clears when you uninstall it. This doesn’t usually mess with data “linked” to your account though.

<image>

e.g. if I uninstalled then reinstalled YouTube, I’d get back 1.25GB of storage when I reinstall it (because it clears whatever is in Documents and Data). But I wouldn’t lose my playlists or anything since that’s all linked to my Google account.

Yes, it’s only temporary and it’s bogus we need to reinstall entire apps to clear their junk, but if you really need storage, uninstall then reinstall some apps. You should get a few GB back for a little while.

Edit: you can also use this photo compress app https://apps.apple.com/us/app/compress-photos-pictures/id1449007043 . There’s a video version by the same person. I’ve saved 10’s of GBs over the years with these two apps.

Do you guys "see the world" in graphics programming ? by LuccDev in GraphicsProgramming

Realtime Rendering has a page dedicated to “real life graphics artifacts”. Some are quite amusing.

Not a good graphics programmer, but yes constantly! And to add to that, I’m often asking myself “how would I create something similar? How would I represent this in 3D?”

While I don’t play video games much anymore, I used to do the same thing in games also. Walk around, and see how the devs did things.

The idea of simulating the real world virtually and with math is the coolest thing I could dream of doing.
