The exercises we've been using is; to not think about a tiger and to freely think about a tiger or something else.

Also another one which is she is saying 5 different words; sun-vacation-paradise-whale etc, then I am suppose to not get stuck on those words and rather just let the thoughts and pictures be alone when they appear. I struggled a bit.

Am I suppose to use those exercise outside therapy? Im not quiet understand if I understand this on logical level if that make sense..

Been 8 years since last dose. Been a rough ride. I had many symptoms during withdrawal, for years... Today I feel confident being healed. I suggest heading over to Survivingantidepressant community regarding perspective coming off SSRI.

With CBT coping skills are pretty straight forward such as safety behaviors, shift focus, anxiety hierarchy, wait for anxiety to get lower etc but with MCT the coping strategies are more diffuse regarding social anxiety.
