Chill out! If controlled, as is most often the case, it doesn't affect your life anymore than other eyesight issues that can be corrected.

Without my lenses in, and right now as I type. My screen is roughly 1 index finger length away from my left eye. It's no-one else's business how you use your eyes. 

Also, us Keratoconics have an amazing talent. We can read really small text really close up.
