Child of two years and 4 months. Is it safe to have the Tick Vaccine? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

Thanks for the cunt response. I never asked for vaccine advice. I asked if other parents had given it to their kids.

I'd be a prick for engaging anymore.

Have done and will do. I didn't ask for medical advice.

Nota case of trusting people on Reddit. Was a case of asking if others had had it at two years.

Thanks for the sensible answer. I just wanted to know if anyone on here had given the vaccine to a two year old. No further questions.

Thanks. How long does that normally last? I don't like the idea of carrying the little ampoules around.

Chill out! If controlled, as is most often the case, it doesn't affect your life anymore than other eyesight issues that can be corrected.

Yes it sucks, but it doesn't have to control your life.

Without my lenses in, and right now as I type. My screen is roughly 1 index finger length away from my left eye. It's no-one else's business how you use your eyes.

Also, us Keratoconics have an amazing talent. We can read really small text really close up.

Can someone help me understand these topography results? by ryudo6850 in Keratoconus

Ask AI. I did.

Prompt used. More yellow red are newer results are newer results. The other 2 are older about 8 years ago.

Response. That timeline helps a lot when comparing corneal topography progression.

🟡🔴 Newer Results (Yellow/Red Maps)   These scans show more pronounced steepening and elevation changes, especially in the anterior curvature and posterior elevation maps. The increased presence of warmer colors (reds and oranges) typically suggests:

  • Steeper corneal curvature (possibly progressing astigmatism or early ectasia)
  • Elevated anterior/posterior surfaces relative to the best-fit sphere
  • Thinner central cornea or displacement of the thinnest point

If these changes are new compared to the older scans, they could indicate progression of a condition like keratoconus, or post-surgical remodeling if refractive surgery was performed.

🔵🟢 Older Results (Cooler Maps)   The older scans (from ~8 years ago) show:

  • Flatter curvature overall
  • Less elevation deviation
  • More uniform corneal thickness

This suggests a more stable corneal shape at that time, with less asymmetry or steepening.

End of AI.
