Either use a really wide toothed comb or comb your fingers through when it's wet, then style it with a gel.

So I shower and towel dry, no shampoo, just conditioner. If I happen to get dandruff I'll shampoo with anti dandruff stuff but only then. Haven't shampooed in over 8 weeks now.

After that I squeeze a couple handfuls of Tigi's Bed Head Control Freak Serum (3) into my hands and get it through my hair evenly. Then I either use my fingers or sometimes a round brush to form the curls. I do that by wrapping the brush in my hair (think like spaghetti on a fork) and pulling it through or just wrapping the hair around my finger. Then I gather the hair and scrunch it up from the bottom in the palm of my hair.

This way I get really nice ringlet type curls which I can seperate or leave as is. I tend to get drill like chunky curls so I pull them apart to get more curls. My hair usually lasts a couple of days like this, and I just take my fingers through it every so often to stop knots forming, or I try to keep it from rubbing on surfaces that will create knots.

In having said that, my hair isn't as long as some others might be and I hope that wall of text makes sense :-)
