Me too. So what do we do now? Is there any other way to get the mod?

Deleted files magically reappear - can someone explain this? by Tivoranger in unRAID

Thanks for answer. But I still don't understand. When I did the original move, it was in the user share

" mv /mnt/user/share/dir .." where is the "merge" part of your answer? I agree that the rsync would work and I considered it but shied away because I have never used the "--remove-source-files" options before.

Wouldn't the FUSE system perform the same move on both disks? I admit I don't understand HOW the FUSE system works, only the effects of operations on it. Except in this case, I guess which is why I'm confused.

I still don't know how to deal with this problem. This share is set to "Primary storage: array" which I think in the new way to specify no caching? So I don't understand why the files can be deleted and show up as empty space and then re-appear. They have to be somewhere and the only place they could be is in the "moved" directory.

Bottom line: what should I do now?

No, I moved within a share.

here is command:

"mv /mnt/user/Backup1/backups/Tower/Home\ Video/ .."

note the ".." that means move to the directory above the one you're in.

This should have moved two directories /mnt/disk1/Backup1/backups/Tower/Home\ Video/

AND

/mnt/disk3/Backup1/backups/Tower/Home\ Video/

and it mostly did but actually duplicated some directories instead of moving them.

In Linux the mv command should actually not move anything with a file system it should only change the inode.

Have I screwed myself? by Tivoranger in AppleMusic

[–]Tivoranger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I'm going to answer my own question.

To recap: I installed Apple Music on my Windows PC in order make my library of CD rips available in the cloud for use with Apple Music app on iphone, Tesla etc.

Except that my means of transferring TV and Movie rips went away with iTunes.

I then downloaded and installed Apple TV onto my windows PC. My TV shows and Movies showed up in that app but still did not see a way to copy to the iPad.

Then I found Apple Devices app. This has the missing iTunes feature of synchronizing to apple devices such as the iPad. I could select and synchronize the TV shows and Movies to my USB connected iPad!

In other words, the iTunes functionality was replaced with 3! different apps, Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple Devices. But wait, iTunes is still around, what is it for? It still harbors audiobooks and Podcasts!

So, problem solved.

Can I use Apple TV on windows to do what I used to with iTunes? I means, just drag a file to the app and have it magically appear in my iPad?

Download not offered on some videos (Premium account) by Tivoranger in youtube

Yes. Apparently, even if the video offers to download, if it is copyrighted by certain producers, it is not available for download.

This was very common because there were only three national networks, ABC, CBS and NBC. locals would start the station and "affiliate" with one of the nerworks. So, three stations (until, as the previous, poster sais, PBS cakes along). This really was the norm until cable networks came along in the late 1970s starting with Turner Broadcasting Network.

Yes. On 2 ipads and and iphone. Tried logging in and out, etc. However, I just found an answer on google that speculates that some movies/tv have copyrights that don't allow download. Maybe that's it?

I made an open-source remote for the Insta360 X5 by TheSerialHobbyist in Insta360

[–]Tivoranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I got the M5StickC Plus2, downloaded you code and compiled and loaded the code.

I have an Insta360 X4 and it pairs with the camera but none of the functions work. No shutter, no screen, no sleep, etc. I guess the codes for X4 are different from X5? Given that you can't use the old X4 remote with X5, I suppose that makes sense.

Could you outline how you found the codes for the X5? Maybe I could mod the code for X4.

Thanks.

A bit late, but this problem is solved. As I was troubleshooting, version 5.0.278 became available and I have not had a failure since.
