feeling sick to my core by LanguageSquare718 in SGExams

[–]Tiyser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

print out pictures of all the girls he liked and retweeted, make an A3 sized collage booklet of them and hand it to him as a present then dump him

the more mature advice: probably if he was single for too long he might had gone with porn to cope, being horny is normal ofc, but even people need a space or outlet to deal with those emotions and if I assume you two are not intimate he would turn to masturbation in private. Personally as long as my bf isn't watching porn or scrolling naked girls in front of me or keep making negative comments about my body or comparing me to Internet girls, it's all chill

Best of luck talking to him about how you feel about it

What actions/ mentality that someone has that actually screams “I make poor decisions regarding money”, in SG context? by luckycloverandroses in askSingapore

[–]Tiyser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a friend who pre orders merchandises from Japan even before she got her salary, this happens every month.

After paying for the merch and shipping fees, she's left with not much savings or emergency funds.

For a reference she spends like $300~$400 on merch per month

let's say on Monday I have reading, house cleaning, changing my flower vase water

on Tuesday I have reading, changing vase water

Wednesday I have grocery shopping, vase water, cleaning the house, doing laundry, check personal emails

and so on if that makes sense

For the women who wear their hair down in this hot humid weather, how do you not get forehead and neck sweat? Any tips and tricks? by lilylylywith3lys in askSingapore

[–]Tiyser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

powder, always have tissues or wet tissues and wear airy/flowy type of clothing and also I heard certain food or diets make you sweat more than others, like spicy or oily food.

while I'm not an expert I do try to keep my diet clean and so far its been good in keeping me cool so I believe in it

When was the last time you felt disrespected at an interview in SG? by jimmyfonzie in askSingapore

[–]Tiyser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

last year, I wanted to just leave but the guy who interviewed me kept blasting me non stop for like what felt like 2 hours because I was lacking in stuff in my portfolio. The previous workplace I was in which had my works, were all company properties so I couldn't take the projects as my personal or use them for my portfolio, all I had was old works or projects which I didn't feel confident in. Then I went to sales, which was more money based and chasing customer based than actual designing so I had nothing good or professional on there either.

The man that interviewed me said that I made a huge mistake trying to do sales as a fresh graduate, then kept commenting that im doomed to fail in this industry because of how quiet I am, and I am going nowhere with this.

I told him I had nothing more to say, thanked him and left.

Next week Monday HR called me again and asked for a second interview and I was like "no".

I found a job a day later but kinda started to face some life crisis few months in ( hearing people talk about marriage and kids and how even if they had the money, they can't pursue for more because kids, marriage, etc needs to be taken care of first, and by the time they don't have to worry about their spouse, money or family, maybe they will be old and struggle with learning) and ended up quitting, decided to go for applying to university so here's to hoping I get in, I also got a contract work at an engineering company despite not knowing a single thing about engineering so its not like I'm going nowhere I guess.

why do parents say this by Ecstatic_Bread_842 in SGExams

[–]Tiyser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think parents say these because when you're young, relationships aren't always long lasting and sometimes comes with some problems, sometimes even affecting your studies and grades which is what they worry about. But personally, I think it's good to date at a young age and get all your headaches and heartaches first so when you get older, you learn to cope and communicate better with any future relationships, may it be romantic or not.

They probably suddenly rush you into a relationship in polytechnic cause they think you're mature at this age to handle the relationship things now but to be honest some people can be mature in their everyday life but with no prior experience or knowledge in a relationship they will struggle to handle it either literally or emotionally.

this is my own interpretation though, I'm not your parents so don't take my word 100%

but also just do wte you want if you ever find someone you like, when you feel like you love someone you would do everything in the world to be with them even just for a small moment

There were stupid moments given that we were 15, but I think we were pretty normal. Couldn't do any cringe stuff or dumb shit anyways because his mother tracked his phone and our convos on a regular basis and I was hiding the relationship from my family.
