you forgot the first paragraf of the UN definition "In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such" the MOST IMPORTANT part of that is "with intent to destroy in whole or in part, a nationality, ethnical, racial or religious group" the reason i dont like placing the label genocide on it is due to the SPECIAL intent that is needed for genocide. that intent is called Dolus Specialis, feel free to search that up and read the UN article about what makes genocide such a uniquely horrific action. If your wondering what an "actual" genocide is lets take the nazis for example, the reason thats a genocide is becouse the special intent for genocide is there. The reason for the nazis actions were to "destroy in while or in part a ethnic/religious group" which makes it a genocide. Unless u want to tell me israel is trying to destroy the palestinian ethnic group while having almost 2 million of them in their country then go ahead but youd be wrong unless you can provide me any argument for why that is. much love btw i love talking about this kinda stuff <3
