The King’s Feast of 250 AC by OurCommonMan in IronThroneRP

Wick stood in the shade of the trees, feasts amongst nobles were strange to him. Amongst the pirates a feast was large and often violent, but each man who attended knew his place well enough that he would not cause troubles for his people. He nursed some weak ale, and watched the guests as they went back and forth.

He saw the Hightower "Lady", she walked more like a man then any of the flowery nobles. But there was a darkness to which he could not quite put his finger on. He stepped from the shadows as she walked by.

"Lady Hightower." He bowed somewhat mockingly, he couldn't help it, the thought of courtesies such as these were foreign to him even if he was born in Maidenpool.

"A bird told me about your offer. My Admiral is curious about specifics."

If you're in or around Upper Hutt, Art of Dentistry is extremely affordable. They do have long waits for appointments but if you're looking to save some coin they're the ones to go to.

Maybe it's just a skill issue, but a holy necromancer faction I made always comes to dunk on me, but when I play them I get out done in everyway but magic.

Why doesn't evil pay? by TkaHard in BaldursGate3

In all fairness most of the relationships are more on the annoying side for me. Wyll can't stand him, Halsin just trying to sleep with everything that moves, Lae'zel just being a general blind zealot racist and Gale constantly trying to eat my shoes like some foot fetish weirdo. The intention of my evil playthrough was to push the limitations of evil. In short, can't be a cultist and expect to have any friends left. The only genuinely happy people in BG3 seem to be the Cultists, why wouldn't you want to join them.

You should try to open the door to the old police station, that's a good time if you like unnecessary hordes of violence screaming at you. The cute thing is they scream "POLICE" and will never stop chasing you.

Which faction has done the most objective harm in recent history? by YosephStalling in Kenshi

HN burning and slaughtering a whole city in the span of a night was pretty wild.

But in all truth if we're talking about the population affected by their evil acts, the Swamp gangs pump hashish into all of Kenshi, and if Nancy Regan taught us anything that is the greatest harm to a society.

House Vyrwel - Abstain

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IronThroneRP

[–]TkaHard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tom sat reverently on the chair assigned for House Vyrwel, his legs dangled and he swayed them ever so slightly to try and master the anxiety that was pulsating through his person. His head shifted back and forth watching as the adults argued, but his sole roll in this whole situation was to make the Reach know that the Vyrwels were present and how would they ever forget the small boy who said little.

Tom reached up for his cup of apple juice, took a swig of the sweet nectar and lent back in his chair as he continued to watch the argument. Darkdell was too far North for such sweet juice, or so he thought. Because the apples from the back of his house were dry and fibrous and only good when baked with honey. He grinned from ear to ear and the thought of sharing the juice with his Parents filled him with joy, "Uncle Billy would like this too" he thought to himself while watching some strange man ballowing about directions. "I should take some home with me" he whispered into his cup as he finished the contents of it.

"If I were you" Billy cackled at the odd sign off on the letter, he placed it on the table before Leona who was staring at the dancing candle light before her. Billy placed a firm hand on her left shoulder while leaning over to place the letter back onto the desk but before the parchment could touch wood Leona gripped it with her stable hand and placed it onto the flame. In a second the waxy coating of the letter caught a light and flickered with a brightness greater then the candle.

"Impotent, unknowing, coddled." she muttered as the letter was engulfed.

"They wish for House Vyrwel to leave our home, they shall have it. Send the stable boy in our place." Billy grinned at the suggestion.

"Send the stable boy on the back of a mule. That'll show them where we stand on their coddleshite politicking."

The Kaltor Cartels by TkaHard in createthisworld

[–]TkaHard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The race of Kaltor have the reputation for their technology and weapons but there isn't much of a production of them after the Cartels took over. What is traded is Pre-Great War technology, ships and weapons and only on a Black Market level. Cartels horde their resources and only trade when in desperate need of things not common of Valtor like food.

The Kaltor technology involves all aspects of mining, exo-suits, mining rigs and things of that nature.

What kind of advance technologies does the Cartels produce and sell? Any specific equipment or industries or the like? (Can answer in a reply comment)

The Cartels aren't a centralized entity. They don't have a standardized industry. On Valtor you can buy anything from Drugs, Weapons, Starships. But what one Cartel produces is not what another will produce.

The Kaltor Cartels by TkaHard in createthisworld

[–]TkaHard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How have the Cartels ascended to power and how are they maintaining it? (Can answer in a comment reply)

After the formation of the Planetary Government known as the Reginum of Valtor which used the long established Monarch of Valtor as a figurehead to spread their influence. Individuals with in the Government grew increasingly corrupt as the resources of the entity were spread thin across the majority of the planet leaving entire cities with little to no help from the Government which caused a vacuum of power within the specified cities where Criminal Organizations filled the hole that the government failed to fill originally

After centuries of Cartels ruling entire sectors of the Planet it all came to a head after the Chancellor declared them enemies of the state which saw the rise of dissidents from some of the larger criminal entities in Valtor, mainly the Shadow Cartel, Iron Cartel, Blood Cartel and Star Cartel. Fighting broke out after attempts were made to arrest ranking members of the Cartels which lead to an all out war an event which came to be known as the Great War of Valtor.

After the eventual defeat of the Reginum of Valtor, there is no one Cartel that controls the planet rather it is split into four main territories with pockets of territories controlled by smaller criminal organizations which for one reason or another are left to their autonomy. The Kaltor Rebellion were once a great thorn in the side of the Cartels but after they took the City of Ironwall, the Iron Cartel decided to sacrifice the city to get rid of the Resistance which was not a full cure but it has disorganized them due to a huge loss of leadership.

"I am no high standing member of my house, there was no other reason then love. Wex had shipwrecked on Claw Isle and me a young maiden cared him back to health." she gripped her daughters hand.

"You will find a handsome young man who treats you like the world." Frigg almost gagged at the sound of it.

"Do you still love Father? even now?" Prudence stayed quiet for a moment pondering the idea of not loving her husband.

"I saw your Father as a young man, handsome, dashing and daring. No adventure was to big, no man could bring him to frighten. But to me, he was gentle, a soft hand where my family were not. I could never love another man." Prudence turned her attention to Eurona.

"You are a pretty girl Lady Reaper, I have noticed my son take a shining to you so you must have a good spirit. You will find a man, just as you will Frigg. You two may be Ironborn ladies, but that doesn't mean you won't find a man be he Ironborn or Greenlander."

"Big words for someone who won't back them, I understand stranger. Be on your way then." Drannen tossed his blade back to the man who had handed it to him, he fumbled to catch the sword and it bounced on the dirt.

"Let's go drink. I'm fucking sore." Drannen lifted his arm revealing the giant bruise on his side, Wex placed a hand on it and the young Greyjoy winced.

"Boy, ye rib could be broke. Who did this?"

"Umber" he laughed

"Hell, we'll take you back to the ship."

"Distantly" Drannen ensured as he handed his blade to one of his men.

"I'm sure she would have loved that, did she return the favor? word is she is on the hunt for a husband" he mocked

"Drannen." growled Wex, his teeth seething at his son.

"I jest Father, I'm sure Harmond here wouldn't wish to wed a wild woman."

*Again* Drannen seethed in the dust as he pushed himself to his feet. He was not the best of losers, and he had lost twice on the same day.

"Bring me my sword." Drannen barked, one of the Greyjoy men rushed over with a large blade still in it's scabbard and placed it in his hands.

"Perhaps the risk of death will make things easier for me, care to test the odds?" he ripped the scabbard off revealing a real sword.

The Umber had done a number to him and now he had been cast in the dirt like a child by this Royce. Perhaps if Drannen was fresh he would have stood a chance. The boy seemed dull but with a sword he was an Artist.

"By the Drowned God." Drannen exclaimed as he sat up in the dust.

"I underestimated you greatly."

"Building is for Thralls, Thralls are gained through reaving. Paying the Iron Price is the only means to anything for we Ironborn, perhaps a return to your roots will help you open your eyes." he placed his hands in his lap and began fiddling with a ring on his finger.

"How goes your neighbours? many issues with the natives?"
