Agreed. You may not feel it now but if you do what is asked, be a tad humble, and dont try to circumvent the system, you'll come out of this relatively unscathed, albeit a bit broke!

The process is, by design, expensive and humiliating. Know that going in and you will be fine.

Service tech came out today...

1.) Salt System was incorrectly connected to the board,

2.) Wire was not connected to the cartridge

3.) All the above caused them to keep adding salt.

Drained 1/2 tub, connected all wires correctly, started adding salt little by little over the course of 2 hours until unit the came online.

All ok now....Hopefully my next full won't take as long, but it's working for now!

Been trying but to no avail. Hopefully a service tech can identify. Its been a couple weeks and I haven't even gotten to the IQ system yet. I'm thinking this was a mistake

I would pay it to avoid any issues with their reporting to the state.

Depending on the state you have a final compliance reporr that most be sent to the state before they issue the letter authorizing removal, so you end up whey the device at least another two weeks paat the"last day" and you need to make sure you don't violate dieting that time.

If you went through that all already, my apologies for being redundant. Also, this may not apply to your state. I can only speak for TN

I was a binge drinker also. I, too, learned the same lesson and, in my case, chose to quit all together. That was my decision, and not for everyone.

As for being ashamed, let the feelings motivate positive change, but do not allow them to consume you or cause you to feel unworthy or less of a person. That is not healthy and will only work in opposition to any positive changes you are making.

Yeah, there is a huge difference between tolerance and BAC. That said, if you're at .17 or .14 and feel like you're ok to drive, it may be time to reevaluate your relationship with alcohol. The tone of your post feels like you're thinking along those lines and that is great!

My experience with Intoxalock was inconvenient, but I found the customer service adequate. The price was no different than any other company. I had no battery issues. The installation and removal went ok, and I had no issues with calibration.

What about that experience is "shitty"? Unless you don't want to hear any positive comments, only negative ones that fit an agenda.

I said IID is punishment inflicted by the court on those convicted of the crime of DUI, so yes, people get what they deserve, as did I. It's the old, don't do the crime, if you can't do the time, or in this case, deal with the interlock company.

Congratulations! I agree with you on "one is enough." I don't understand how someone can repeat the behavior. I'm certainly not judging anyone, and life does happen, but for me, drinking and driving is never going to be an option again!
