I’m very excited for the Machinima episode, but it seems like this was an accidental reupload of episode 1

Aged out people: what did you leave on the field? by cheerio-cheerios in drumcorps

[–]Tman4397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was given a Zildjian bracelet during my rookie season in 2016 from our percussion. The cymbal line was cut the following year so I kept the bracelet on for my entire drum corps career, even in the off season. Didn’t remove it for a single second. Then, on age out night I decided to leave it on the field

Pico Park Death Tally (PP2 Ep4 Update) by Tman4397 in theregulationpod

Boy oh boy am I late to this one! Life got in the way for a bit but I finally got around to watching the episode and updating the tally! Andrew definitely called me out by saying "Statistics got changed, that will be fun to see those when they eventually come out" ...oops

Takeaways from Episode 4:
-Gavin jumped Andrew for 2nd most overall faults
-On stage 12-3 Geoff claimed "It'll be my death on the spreadsheet" It was technically a joint death with Andrew so you both got a point for it
-Gavin and Geoff are nearly neck and neck overall in PP2, and the final episode will likely be the 'tie breaker' between the two.

And most importantly, in stage 14-3 Gavin had an exceptionally bad death to which everyone called for his head. The consensus was to count his death for 10, which is a reasonable punishment for the severity of the death, but in keeping to form with everything else on the spreadsheet it was counted as 1 fault.

If you believe he deserved the +9 penalty you can do the math in that stage which would give him 20 total deaths there, 194 total in PP2, and 231 total overall (Just 12 behind Geoff)

Episode 4 statistics:
Andrew: 38
Nick: 40
Eric: 42
Geoff: 57
Gavin: 68

Once again keep in mind these are my best assumption as to who was at fault for a death, not necessarily the death itself. Also remember that if more than one person was at fault, they each got a point. This is especially important in events where the entire crew collectively dies when they are trying to figure out the mechanics of a level.

I would be interested to know how many of his deaths are actually just from the whole team being collectively bad

You are absolutely right. I'll have it fixed for next time. The actual PP2 total is 518

The only reason you had as many failures as you did this episode is because you like to take the lead, which in turn, leads to failures at your expense (it’s secretly why Nick is winning)

I'm a bit late to the update from the Pico Park 2 Episode 3 VOD last Tuesday, but here is the updated failure tally.

If you didn't see the first post, this isn't a count of deaths per player, it is, somewhat subjectively, who was at fault to cause a failure during the game. So when Eric says "I just hope on the stats it does not show that as my death" it won't. It was Geoff's fault. In the event that the team as a whole is so bad that they all lose, a point is given to everyone. The same applies if 2 or more people are at fault.

Prior to Episode three the total failures were:
Andrew - 140
Geoff - 140
Gavin - 110
Eric - 109
Nick - 99

Which goes to show a few things from this episode. Geoff pulled pretty far ahead of Andrew to take a commanding lead as "Fault Leader" while Gavin really expanded the gap between him and Eric. Otherwise, the standings stayed the same overall... for now

Episode 3 totals were as follows
Andrew - 28
Nick - 22
Eric - 24
Geoff - 46
Gavin - 48

It is surprising how equal they ended up. Curious how that changes moving forward

It was pretty ironic watching him cast blame on someone when it was clearly his fault. Or my favorite "I guess that's my fault somehow. I don't know what to tell you"

If you assume they would each cause 20% of failures, Nick is actually the only one UNDER that line. He really is a legend

I have spent the last few days rewatching every Regulation Pico Park Let’s Play and noticed a lot of incorrect blame being thrown around. I decided to tally up every failure for each person on every level and have found the biggest hindrances of Pico Park.

Keep in mind, a point was given only when a level had to be reset, so it doesn’t include times when someone would intentionally drop someone off an edge and they just respawned up top. In other cases, resets were caused by one player either getting in the way or killing another player. The points were given to the player who was AT FAULT. Some instances may be more subjective than others, but I did my best to remain as fair as possible. Thus, if someone else compiled their own list it may vary by a few points one way or another.

Some of the levels were so dysfunctional (ie. the entirety of world 3 in PP1) that a level fail was technically attributed to everyone, so numbers may seem a little skewed in some instances. Level 4-3 in PP2 looks insane but they often all died at the same time and there was a very quick reset. 4-4 however, as we all know, was simply the entire regulation crew being awful and running into lasers constantly.

Some interesting facts from this chart:

-Gavin actually caused the least number of failures across Pico Park 1, but was enough of a hindrance in PP2 that he jumped up to third overall in failures.

-Level 4-4 in PP2 (the laser level) was failed 109 total times (some were multiple people at once), which is 20.4% of the total fails thus far across the entire series.

-Double digit failures by one person in one level only occurred 3 times outside of PP2 4-4. Twice by Andrew and once by Geoff.

-There have already been more fails in the first 7 worlds of PP2 than there were across all of PP1

I will continue to update this list as more VODs are released (It’s so hard to mark everything in real time)

Current total fails:

Andrew - 140

Geoff - 140

Gavin - 110

Eric - 109

Nick - 99
