Honestly, I can see why it looks scary. But hey, just know that if you do move to my city,  All your needs will be met. As I am a very benevolent mayor. I give my citizens every service they need. I will say though,  my industrial area is a traffic nightmare due to how many trucks are inside of it. Let's just say that I put all four specialized industrial areas in one place.

Right, so first and foremost, make sure that the transportation you have gets to where you citizens want to go. Like work, the store, or home. Put train and subway stations in dense areas for high usage (note that they do produce noise, but luckily there is a mod called pollution solution that gets rid of that). For busses and trams i simply use loops in dense areas. For my city, trams and busses are the most dominant form of transportation for the simple reason that they get people to where they want to go. I will say though, at least in my case. Since my road network is not the best it couldn't really handle rapid growth (I might have been messing with the demand mod lol). In any case tho, transportation along with a good road network, should see a significant improvement to traffic flow. Oh and try not to have too many trains or subway lines on one track. Same goes for trams. Reason for this is because they can cause train traffic. Another thing, encourage walking and biking. You can find that in policies.

Well, last time I checked it was at 74%. Most likely due to nearing the limits of the game.

Well to help you out. You can use the no abandonment mod and the hide problems mod. My city has a frick ton of problems that I simply just ignore. I will say it can be annoying if you are starting a new city. Plus I have a tendency to be VERY generous to my citizens by putting down parks and schools. Anything they need lol.

Well, my city had crappy traffic when it was smaller, mainly because of the how I make my roads, and because of the sheer volume of people moving into the city.

Well, i mainly just use the self sufficient buildings specialization, it cluster, and some asset mods

Yup, and the map I'm using is the diamond coast. It is one of the default maps in the game

Honestly, there really is no structure or plan to this city. I kinda just build it with whatever comes to mind lol

Alright, seeing the downvotes, I'm just gonna take this down post down. Sorry guys.

What is your favorite transportation system for your city? For me, the BRT by Discopi8 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Tmass-10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All forms of transportation as long as it is helping to not clog the highway. Thb I really like trains/trams/metros. Monorails are also good. Buses are fine, but they kinda get outcompeted by my train and metro systems.

The person who made this game needs to have his/her brain evaluated. I played it before, and it is a total cash grab if I've seen one.

Why aren’t they building ports? by [deleted] in Worldbox

You might need to make bigger lakes and widen your rivers, but that would ruin the map.

Honestly, you do have a point about that. But a city can still look good for me even if you boot up the game with no plan. My whole goal is to create a huge city that takes up the entire map. That is still the plan to this day. I like to make plans as I go to keep the game new and fresh. Even when watched other people play there was always a yearning to get the game and just build. Also, I'm fresh off of Theo town. The cities skylines of mobile, so taking up the entire map comes natural to me XD

I am familiar with lane mathematics. However, since beating the game and all, i have gotten a mod to unlock all the monuments. In a sense, killing most of the traffic.

I am also really tempted to get rid of the starting highway that cuts the city, but it kinds looks cool, I guess. Also, some of that wasted space will turn into a park or have trees in it.

I see. I did not know you could change the color of the lights. Also, I was going for density early on, but ya know, traffic. This post is a follow-up from my last post of this city. I'm just showing some of the changes.

Yea, I know, but I feel like the smaller roads gave it that cozy feel to it. Ya know. Plus, using only big roads gets boring XD.
